Quote from: Gwangi on February 19, 2024, 01:35:00 AMNo question about it S @SidB, and its certainly the best vintage Apatosaurus/Brontosaurus around.

Shopping experiences like that are few and far between avatar_triceratops83 @triceratops83. I hit up a lot of antique, thrift, and collectable stores and seldom score something like that. Every time I visit those places it's Invicta and Battat I'm hoping to find. This is the first time I've found an Invicta figure in about 6 years. First time ever even seeing the Apatosaurus in person.
It must be that long for me finding an Invicta too. Better luck with the Battat's for me - I seem to find about one per year, though there's a catch: every one for the last several years has been an Edmontonia!

I recently hinted at a new acquisition relating to the CollectA Rhoetosaurus, and it finally arrived today. It's the 1/35 Argentinosaurus made by Ademar Pereira do Nascimento. I requested it be painted in the colors of the old CollectA Rhoetosaurus. Ademar took my silly request for a purple dinosaur with a green belly and made something truly extraordinary. When I bought his Patagotitan I requested the colors of the Safari Saltasaurus. These two were the toys that got me started collecting sauropods with osteoderms - now a very expensive proposition, but back then those were the only two. I intend to display them together, as parents and offspring. When you buy from Ademar the wait is long (10 months in my case) but the quality is outstanding and price is very reasonable. His English is also very good. A detail I just noticed is in the upper palate of the mouth even the openings of the nares are painted. The more I look at it the more I am blown away.

It's magnificent, avatar_BlueKrono @BlueKrono. And a very original and satisfying way of coming up with the colour schemes.

I've acquired the Safari 2023 Utahraptor.  It is amazing!  It's big, bigger than the Safari 2017 Velociraptor and 2020 Deinonychus!  I was surprised by how big it is and I couldn't put it down for some time because I was taking in how beautiful it is.  Its forlimbs weren't raised as much as it had seemed from what I had seen of it online, which I'm pleased about.  I'm very happy with the figure, it does justice to the most powerful dromaeosaurid, which turned out surprising.  The figure looks noticeably different to Safari's Deinonychus and Velociraptor, which is accurate but still not easy to achieve.  The Safari 2023 Utahraptor gets a 10 out of 10 from me.

A long awaited package has finally arrived!

The Dilophosaurus pair I've wanted since they were first revealed, being my favorite models of my favorite species, but I haven't had a chance to pick them up until now! As for the Edmontosaurus, I've wanted a large Edmontosaurus figure for ages now but none of the figures out there really did it for me, so as soon as pnso revealed theirs I knew I had to get it! This may be the first figure I ordered without waiting for someone to post a review, and it did not disappoint! Comparing this to even their recent Olorotitan it's clear pnso is continuously improving and I'm so excited to see what they reveal next. Personally I have my fingers crossed for a similarly large Saurolophus.

DrunkAnteosaurus

Snagged a quick deal on Mercari(dont mind my horrendous self, had to use a computer)

BOTM Dromeosaurus and the PNSO "Lemmy" for a good 29usd

Was quite surprised by the size of the dromro

Also, the amazing person also gave an extra Safari LTD Pterosaur, which was absolutely lovely. Not to mention an adorable crested gecko sticker they made! Lovely people

YESSS!!! I am now only missing the Troodon(sp.) with the forest.  Also, I found a Gigantpinosaurus with perfect eyes, does anyone need it?

Those are amazing avatar_BlueKrono @BlueKrono. Sauropods are definitely the jam.

Another one to check off of the wanted list.

After years of search, finally found a copy of this unusual and rare Painted Invicta Brachiosaurus. Not the best condition, but can't be picky when looking for rarities  ;D .  I'm still going to wash it, since it is a bit on the dusty side.

EDIT: After a nice cleaning, looks pretty good. I am tempted to retouch a few spots with acrylic paint.

What model is that large Brachiosaurus in the background? First I thought it would be the Nanmu, but the head seems to look more downwards.

Wow, that's great avatar_Ikessauro @Ikessauro!  I had seen a small photo of it a long time ago and thought it was just a customised unpainted version.  It makes sense that it's a real variant as the one I had seen was in a photo with other painted Invictas.

Yeah. It is a real variant. I know B @Bokisaurus has one too.

The very large one is a recast of the Horizon Jurassic Park model kit. About the size of Mattel's Brachio

I fell victim of the "quote" button again.

E/a for $15 at Walmart! I own them all now, at least until Kileskus, Craterosaurus and others show up.

Megalosaurus will be reviewed real soon.

Rhizodus XL. I made this one 1:18 scale (though it ended up being about 1:19.7ish) to scale with my Mattel toys.

I quite like it!

Halichoeres

Cool! That's a good scale for Paleozoic monsters.

I knew you'd like the Rhizodus lol

JimoAi

Surprise!Back with a other haul!

Starting with the Jurassic world captivz hatchlings if the raptor squad and Bumpy plus a Terapagos figure!

My first custom made of the Sacabambaspis I got at a convention. Couldn't resist getting it and it was the only prehistoric merch there.

Not 100% new but I have gotten the base and the juvenile of the Aquameridian Humphead wrasse which I have gotten a year ago.

Lastly, the set of Bandai seals which I need help with their IDs and a Kinder seal

i've had two especially exciting acquisitions come in recently!

first, a NWT bullyland paratypothorax i got on ebay for a pretty decent price. joining my arizonasaurus, procynosuchus, and protochirotherium, it brings my number of bullyland triassics up to four. this is one i've had on my wishlist for a while, so i couldn't resist once i saw it!

however, the main course...

she's an icon, she's a legend, and she is the moment. alamosaurus is not only one of my favorite sauropods but one of my favorite dinosaurs period, and with two incredible choices recently released, i knew i had to splurge a bit and add it to my collection. i considered the PNSO to conserve space, but i quite liked the idea of having this particular species be the centerpiece of my display, so i sprung for the bigger option and i certainly don't regret it! haolonggood's effort on this figure is nothing short of incredible, with the rich and layered color scheme elevating the sculpt into a striking marvel of handiwork.

a sort of "evolution of man" with some of my other sauropods:

and one last shot in situ to properly convey a sense of scale alongside the other figures on my shelf:

A couple of last-minute eBay rehomes for the end of my February pickups.

Someone was selling a Standard Nanmu Giganotosaurus for a number befitting this ugly bugger.

Then slowly but surely checking off the last of the Battat originals for my collection. Don't see many of these sloped tailed Ceratosaurus so I made sure to snatch this one up. I could be wrong, but I believe that only leaves the mini rex I'm missing from the original line!
