Wow, avatar_DavidJamesArmsby @DavidJamesArmsby , a GREY Invicta Dimetrodon! Incredible find!

I didn't know there were different colour variants TBH  ::D

Do you have one, and if so is it a different colour than mine?
One day we will know the truth about Spinosaurus... but not today.

At a recent sale, most of the latest Gregory S. Paul Princeton Field Guides were at a 40% discount. I decided to only pick up this one. A beautiful book. I can't be bothered to check if everything is correct, though :-) Anyway, immensely fascinating animals, a great read (almost 90 pages of introduction) and beautiful art.

Yes, there are many color variants within the Invictas, but I have never seen a grey Dimetrodon. Mine has got the "normal" pink color.

I wonder if it might just be the lighting. I took the following two screenshots from Andy's review of the Dimetrodon. In one of them it looks very similar to mine, while in the other it looks more pinkish:

A new arrival, courtesy of a local courier - The latest PNSO ceratopsian, another centrosaurine, the Stellasaurus.

A comparison with the earlier two releases by PNSO, the Lokiceratops and Spiclypeus:

Happy familly finally reunited !

can you post pics of the Giraffe

More pictures of the PNSO Girafe:

Beautifully detailed and painted figure, that seems 1/35 scale.
Only flaws are some lines defect from manufacture like on the below pictures, but I'm being nitpick

Compare to the HLG Quetzalcoatlus.
Is the Quetzalcoatlus too large for 1/35 ?

Seems to be the case, avatar_Fembrogon @Fembrogon estimated it to be in ~ 1:25 scale. On top of that, its proportions are pretty off, its neck should be noticeably longer.

There are good reasons for both assumptions now: That it´s a matter of lighting or that there are really two different colours.

As for me, I just bought myself a Timpo T.rex of the first generation. One leg and one arme have broken off, but I guess I give it a new home.
I´ll send pictures as soon as it has arrived after easter.

Pretty much - in terms of flat height, the Quetz is close to 1:35; but that's due mostly to the neck being short. A proper 1:35 Quetz would need a lot of corrections, but would ultimately still look the giraffe in the eye.

Picked these up during an impromptu visit to a Toronto thrift shop today:

The old Battat Parasaurolophus, original version from the 1990's -

The original Battat Edmontonia. This one's got a little nip taken out of the end of its tail. I've got several of these (anybody want one?) -

I started collecting 1/32-1/35 scale extant elephants a couple of years ago as comparators for my extinct Eofauna proboscidians. I've kept acquiring new and used ones as they've  become available, and here are two that I got today -

An AAA African Elephant -

A Schleich male Indian Elephant merchanised by Walmart without a Schleich branding. The finish is unmistakeable , but the figure is unique, not corresponding to any standard Schleich model, as far as I know.

PrimevalRaptor

Finally got my hands on this guy, been eyeing it for years lol
Love the color scheme and with Plateosaurus being one of my favorite dinosaurs it was about time for an upgrade, as much as I still like the old quadrupedal Bullyland one

Fembrogon

Dilo is here! (and Deino, too)

I'm glad I didn't miss the bus on this one after all. Right out of the box both figures are already looking great and moving pretty nicely. I'm also looking forward to trying out the new stands to see how they fit the larger figures.

avatar_Fembrogon @Fembrogon Nice. Glad you were able to get the BotM Dilophosaurus. The dromaeosaurids are on my get list after the Gorgosaurus. Any plan to review the BotM Deinonychus (and/or Utahraptor)? I'm surprised they don't have reviews yet.

That said my HC Therizinosaurus arrived yesterday. Will review that one after I tackle the PNSO Zuul.

I am interested in reviewing the Utahraptor (and maybe the Deinonychus), but until I've finished more of my review queue I'm not making any more reservations.

During the past couple of months, I've been playing catch-up with several PNSO releases that I'd previously been somewhat reluctant to order, for one reason or another. Earlier in this thread, I've shared images of the Camarasaurus and Wuerhosaurus, in comparison with similar taxa from Safari and HLG respectively. Below it's the turn of PNSO's Baryonyx:

Alongside the Safari and Favorite Baryonyx's

Notice the rather more to scale claws on the PNSO in comparison with the Safari (of course the Safari is targeting a wider audience, including young children, so has to be more robust)

Finally, a comparison of the scalation on the torsos -

Very nice figure, overall more pleasing.

But I have dodged it so far because of the rounded torso.
Of course every one does not have to share the same accuracy tolerance.
There are other details on other figures for different species that I don't mind but other would.

Yes, we do set our boundaries for acquiring these figures, which is a good thing given that space and money are both finite. Myself, I was okay here, but I didn't take to the HLG one because of my dislike of it's jaw fit and seam.

Fembrogon

Very quick service from Safari Ltd! I placed this order earlier this week and it was already at my door yesterday.

Megalosaurus is the immediate standout for its unique style, but Saltasaurus and Nanuqsaurus are subtsantial figures in hand, and of course Austroraptor is another very welcome raptor figure. Now for 2025's announcements! (Soon, I hope?)

SidB

I didn't realize that the Nanuqsaurus is as large as that. Any idea of its scale, roughly speaking, avatar_Fembrogon @Fembrogon ?

Fembrogon

I haven't calculated myself yet, S @SidB; but back in July Shane estimated it was between 1:35 and 1:24, depending on maximum animal size.
