T rex and Spinosaurus look a bit William Stout to me (not a bad thing at all)

KeU

I am liking these more than I should.
There is a certain appeal to them that is really tempting me.

As a huge fan of the old stop-motion dinosaur movies (user name should give that away) I find these really appealing. I'm definitely the target demographic.

Killekor

Both the T-Rex and the Spinosaurus look really funny! I like them!

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

I'm not super into the Tyrannosaurus, figures like that are dime a dozen anyway, but that Spinosaurus is excellent. Looks exactly like a guy in a rubber suit stomping over Tokyo. Would definitely buy if I can find a good deal for shipping (which I imagine is going to be very pricey).

Those are very neat designs, I feel like for designs that don't have a real motion picture background I'd rather have possible figures,  But the level of detail is very attractive.

T-Rex kinda reminds me of Sauron though, not really a bad thing.

Oh, I'm getting both of those...

The pre-order for the Tyrannosaurus has opened on Hobby Search. The figure is cast in polystone, and listed at 17cm in length (Hobby Search lists it as 17cm in height).

It's expensive too... $168.38 + shipping. Release is in April 2020.

The T. rex reminds me of the one in that Ringo Starr caveman movie.

Reminds me of the Sinclair life-size T.rex statues. I grew up with the one at the Boston Museum Of Science.

I really want to buy the Dinomation rex, but man, you're looking at $200 with shipping, for a 7 inch tall polystone. That's a bit too much. If we knew it was a specifically small production run, that might change my feeling, but we have no idea of the production #'s.

ITdactyl

I really like this fig - it has so much character.  I wish there was a smaller, less expensive variant (easier to wish for that than ask for money to fall from the sky).

That said, my blood still curdles every time I read FB comments saying variants of "Now, this is a dinosaur.  Not some lame chicken." - especially from my RL friends.

Dinosaurs and sharks... the animals with real and pop culture versions.

PhilSauria

I look at these resins with interest and sometimes save the image but they are otherwise way out of my price range, especially with shipping on top of that and having anything sent over here to Australia doesn't come cheap.

I'm watching Andy's video reviews less lately as he seems to be showing mainly high-end kits and statues - why torture yourself looking at what seems to be a steady stream of figures from a growing number of creators in this area when you know that you don't have the money to get hold of any of them?

You sure?

CityRaptor

Not that Sauron.

Or that Sauron:

But that Sauron:
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

I really relate to this sentiment. My interest in biology stops where human health begins.

Oh. OOHHHH. Wow, Sauron is a more common name that I thought. Ironic that its first use was for something not dinosaurian.
