The saltriovenator does not know if it will be scientific or not but it looks magnificent without a fixed base, it is supported on its two legs and it is not commented if it has a mobile jaw and it also does not have brown tones as they complained while members of the forum. Very realistic colors that reject the camouflage paintings (war paintings). His lips is something expected by me.

I'm not sure about the final release version, but the prototype in the picture has seams on it's jaw and in it's mouth that are consistent with having movable jaws.

Everything Dinosaur says it is articulated.

Shonisaurus

So the saltriovenator has an articulated jaw. I wish he didn't have a much better jaw than his 2019 Collecta baryonyx, which disengages and gives himself at least in my figure. Anyway, the articulated jaw is very well done judging the promotional figure since I mistakenly thought I did not have it. Anyway a perfect figure for the collection of toy dinosaurs.

Concavenator

Bajadasaurus!!! And this was only discovered in February (9 months ago)  :o

Shonisaurus

They have sent me information about the new models and the saltriovenator will be in a Deluxe version with articulated jaw as members of the forum pointed out.

On the other hand, the badajasaurus of Collecta 2020 is a large XL figure but is not a Deluxe size.

Mattyonyx

Being Italian, I'm so happy CollectA is making a Saltriovenator. To me, it looks better than their Ceratosaurus. Also, it would be my first lipped theropod model.

suspsy

Well, there's a solid retort to all the complaining about toys that look the same. Saltriovenator is a very fragmentary theropod, but this toy is very much in keeping with all the paleoart I've seen, plus it's a European theropod, so thumbs up. And Bajadasaurus is just plain cool.

That makes six dinosaurs, which is plenty. I hope next week's reveals consists of sea monsters, pterosaurs, Paleozoic beasts, or Cenozoic ones. A bird instead of a mammal would be most welcome. The Kelenken could really use some company.

Or it could be the moa (dinornis maximus) is an unpublished bird practically among the extinct toy animals. In Deluxe or XL size it would be great.

Bajadasaurus: all we know about that species  in white ..

Courageous choice  O:-)

ceratopsian

Agreed we know precious little about Bajadasaurus. But I will be happy to buy it on the basis that it is 3D rendition of the art that accompanied the publication of the fossil. I won't however forget that it is very speculative.

Duna

Bajadasaurus, yesss!! It was first in my list of petitions (though I wanted Eofauna to do it)  ^-^
This wil be my first and only dino choice from Collecta next year.

suspsy

Yeah, Bajadasaurus is definitely a fragmentary beast, even more so than Saltriovenator, but that certainly hasn't stopped the paleoartists, and it shouldn't stop the toy companies either. It's a dynamic, eye-catching sauropod, much more so than many better known species. It'll probably sell well.

I agree and (being Italian too) I'm even joyful! It's really great to finally see a dinosaur figure of an Italian dinosaur, especially so esthetically pleasing! It's without a doubt a must have for me, considering that it doesn't have a base! I also like it's color scheme.

The Bajadasaurus is not exactly a surprise for me, considering that they already made gambles like this before (especially with the Spinosaurus). And it's certainly welcome a figure of it! It's really great too, and I'll probably get one.

Anyways, I can't wait to see the next releases! It's clear that they're keeping the best figures for the last reveals. I hope to finally see a Sinornithosaurus!

P.S. Theoretically the Microraptor it's 1:6 scale, but in their article Everything Dinosaur says it's "XL Size". What does that mean avatar_Everything_Dinosaur @Everything_Dinosaur ? What are the measurements of the figure? Thanks in advance!
Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

All the new CollectA model measurements can be found in our blog article that we have posted up to accompany the release.  For example, if you want to see the measurements for the new 1:6 scale Microraptor model, then simply visit the Everything Dinosaur blog post that introduced this model: New CollectA Models Part 1

6 down, hopefully we get a few more yet. Hope they do another miniature line like the one from 2018, the marine animals set was phenomenal.

I found a list of the rest of the 2020 releases, and let me tell you, the best is yet to come.

Wow I just got up a bit ago and while I'm not familiar with the Saltriovenator, I do know about the Bajadasaurus which was discovered recently if I recall correctly, which certainly makes for a nice model, even if it is fragmentary currently, and I think it is nice to finally have one made. Though like all figures in time a new one can always be made when more evidence is found. I do wonder how it sizes up with their Brontosaurus too. I'll have to check.

Dimensions of Brontosaurus: 30.4cm long x 10.6cm tall
Dimensions of Bajadasaurus: 35cm long x 10cm tall

Keep in mind that Brontosaurus is a standard line figure, while Bajadasaurus is a deluxe figure, meaning that (1) they're not in scale, and (2) the latter figure will be considerably heavier.

I found a list of the rest of the 2020 releases, and let me tell you, the best is yet to come.

Here's what avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres is talking about:

Quote from: STS post by user spacelabDinosaurs

  • (already revealed figures omitted)
  • Caviramus 1:2 (with movable jaw)
  • Megalodon 1:60 (with movable jaw)
  • Allosaurus (roaring)
  • Mapusaurus (hunting)
  • Lisowicia Bojani 1:20
  • Diplodocus (grey)

  • Orthoceras
  • Redlichia Rex Trilobite
  • Pleuroceras Ammonite
  • Horseshoe Crab
  • Nautilus Pompilius
  • Belemnite

(sorry for double-posting)

EDIT: The STS user has edited the post containing the list, and the arthropods and cephalopods are now separate from the rest of the figures (I've edited the quote to reflect this). What this means is unclear and it probably isn't much, but I felt I should point it out nonetheless.
