The place I have gotten the bulk of my CollectA figures from is Jack's Country Store out of Washington state.  I believe shipping is a flat $5, if I recall correctly.

Hoping they get the new stock of the marine invertebrates when they are released.

Ah yes, I believe I have purchased a couple of my CollectA dinos from them online too in recent years. If I recall, they are located somewhere on the Washington coast, in one of the beach towns. I don't know if they have a store front but as a Washingtonian I should check it out next time I have the chance.

Strange how Collecta has a small western Washington presence.

I believe that the only solution that brands like Collecta can have is to sell the products only in online stores, as happens with Rebor, Nanmu Studio, W-Dragon (this is for adult audiences), i-TOY, Soutlands Replicas, Beasts of the Mesozoic, PNSO or many other brands. I understand that the way things are in Collecta from the economic point of view is the only way to survive the economic cataclysm that unfortunately is looming day by day.  :(

Hopefully I'm wrong.

As far as I am concerned CollectA is already an online only brand. Same with Safari Ltd. To see either of these in a physical store is a fantasy. On fact since the demise of the British Toys R Us, you'd be hard pressed to.find Papo in a physical store. The only brand in the wild is Schleich now. Unless you lived on the Isle of Man.
Megalosaurus, Iguanodon, Archaeopteryx, Cetiosaurus, Compsognathus, Hadrosaurus, Brontosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Albertosaurus, Herrerasaurus, Stenonychosaurus, Deinonychus, Maiasaura, Carnotaurus, Baryonyx, Argentinosaurus, Sinosauropteryx, Microraptor, Citipati, Mei, Tianyulong, Kulindadromeus, Zhenyuanlong, Yutyrannus, Borealopelta, Caihong

My nearest TRU actually stocks CollectA. I don't know Why and they never have any Deluxes for some reason. I know one more Store stocking CollectA. It's some small chain store in a shopping center.  I haven't been in any of them for few months, obviously.

I have seen CollectAs in many toy stores and museums in Queensland. They seem to be more common in Australia.
The same goes for Papo in Germany - and in France of course. I cannot speak for other countries.

Here in the U.S.,the only time I have ever seen anything from CollectA at a physical store was the 1/15 scale T. rex and Triceratops models in the gift shop of the Smithsonian's Natural History Museum around 2015 or so.Since the newly renovated fossil hall opened last year, they have been carrying Safari's prehistoric line.
Don't you hate it when you legitimately compliment someone's mustache and she gets angry with you?

Yeah, I remember seeing the Triceratops when I was there in 2013. Was very disappointed by the selection back then. Good to know that the museum is carrying Safari now. As it was, the only new toy I bought during my DC trip was the Carnegie Ichthyosaurus, which I found at the now closed National Aquarium.

The Indian River Reptile Zoo here in Ontario used to carry a great CollectA selection, but that was when they had a different NA distributor.

I once saw a handful of CollectA in a physical store in my hometown, however that was about 7-8 years ago now and the store has since closed.

Back when I lived in California, the Dinosaur Farm in Pasedena was the only place I'd ever seen Collecta in a physical store. Since moving to Texas, I've actually found two places that stock Collectas: one a toy store, and the other a truck stop, surprisingly. Unfortunately, the toy store got damaged in a storm last year, and although they managed to reopen, they said their dinosaur models were all lost.  :(

Shame to hear both CollectA and Safari are taking such hits, but I can't say it comes as a surprise given the state of things. That being said, I actually have been ordering quite a few CollectA figures as of late (the deluxe styracosaurs, the latest rex, the deluxe iguanodon, borealopelta, brontosaurus, acrocanthosaurus and the new bajadasaurus) Unfortunately there seems to be delays on international shipping from Australia, and with a majority of those models coming my way from MiniZoo I'm forced to wait.

I hadn't understood just how bad this was til now, I placed an order on May 6th and it still hasnt left the country.

My minizoo order is still stuck in Australia sense the 5th. I got the CollectA Brontosaurus, Fukisaurus, and Lythronax.

I placed an order with Minizoo on April 6 and it still hasn't arrived.

I placed an order on March 3 from Minizoo and my order has not yet arrived unfortunately. It is due to the problem of buying from countries outside your borders (European Union) and the US caused by the pandemic. The ship that contains my package was shipped by sea on May 4, so I think it will take a month or more. It is a chore.

Faelrin

I was checking the shipping thing on Minizoo not too long ago and found this page:

https://www.minizoo.com.au/shipping-returns/

With a message stating:

QuoteInternational orders are still being packed and collected from our warehouse daily however due to the lower level of available flights many countries are being affected by freight delays. Some countries have had services suspended completely. Please click here and check your country's status before placing your order.

which linked to this:

https://auspost.com.au/about-us/news-media/important-updates/coronavirus/coronavirus-international-updates

Which mentioned:

QuoteFor items sent between 25th March and 30th April, additional delivery delays on top of the below have occurred. We are working hard to process all items on hand and deliver them as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.

And if one scrolls down they also mention this for those in the states:

Quote
20 May 2020
There are flight disruptions and cancellations impacting all inbound and outbound items to USA.
We expect delays to USA of up to 5-7 weeks due to flight cancellations and government restrictions because of COVID-19. Express items will be given priority over Standard items during this time.
Please note: Australia Post will suspend Economy Services for parcels and Economy letters containing merchandise effective 3 April and until further notice. Economy Services for regular letters will continue.
Australia Post is working closely with partner airlines and postal operators to move items as quickly possible.
Please note: USA will no longer be performing signature on delivery for items delivered to USA due to government restrictions.

There's a similar message for other countries though it really only differs to tailor to their specific needs and situation differences.

Perhaps this is why orders have not left the country for many of you?

Yeah, the present estimated shipping time for Canada is 40-60 days, so I figure my package will arrive any day now. I can wait. It's just toys, after all.

My order was placed on the tenth of April and has been stagnant since the 15th. I chatted with a representative on the 29th or 30th I believe it was, and they told me to expect an additional delay of 2-4 weeks from the 16th. That came and went, so it is nice to have some more information on further delays at this time.

Mononykus

I will concur. I placed an order with MiniZoo on April 5, and tracking indicates it is still in Sydney.

Shonisaurus

The bad thing is that I made my order on March 25 (I was wrong about the date) and my figures that are sent by australian post indicate in my shipping history the following:

Delayed: transfer to the ocean carrier for international departure

GRANVILLE NSW

But it is too long for such shipment to arrive late. I will have to contact Minizoo so they can tell me what happened to my shipment. They are simple PVC toys but I would like them to reach my destination since I am very interested in these figures. In fact, all the dinosaur figures purchased from this online toy company have arrived to date and it has not had delays as long as this one.

It is due to the pandemic and I fully understand what is happening. However, if it does not reach my destination, I will not claim the money from the Minizoo store because it would be unfair on my part. If I can not have such figures nothing happens there are more important things in life. But I know that it is all because of the pandemic tragedy that I am quite realistic. If I raise some money, maybe I'll buy the Collecta 2020 news later. :(

Martwad

avatar_Shonisaurus @Shonisaurus , I think the safer way to look at it is to apply the delay from the point in which things return to normal.  Right now, they aren't really capable of giving an accurate shipping time estimate, with everything in flux the way it is.  I'm sure your packages will eventually arrive, it will just be a pleasant surprise when they do.
