I see ceratosaurus is up for Pre-Order.
In your guys opinion, is this a good grab?

For me the color seems great, but there just seems something off with this model that I can't think of is what.

I find the red one gorgeous.
Overall this is a middle ground between JP3 color scheme and a more accurate Ceratosaurus than the one we see in the movie, and that's perfect for me.
But if you want a 100% JP3 Ceratosaurus, it's not really doing it, since it was supposed to be crossed with Rex DNA as they explaine that different design.
The colors trying to be faithfull to JP3, remind me of today's feline predators, but instead of a mane, it has red head and horns, well I like that analogy.
The eyes are good, although the pupils do not fill the whole white eyes unlike most dinosaurs representations, and like humans, that could be a bit weird.
I'm definitely ordering it.

The darker one is more natural but not as good imo, and the eyes aren't good, plain green with no layer compare tot he red one, but the color fill the whole eye.

Well you'll probably find eyes not important and gimmick, but they are to me.

Lana has the Nanmu Stegosaurus up for preorder:

Looks very good and surprisingly a bit cheaper than Ankylosaurus and Ceratosaurus.
But I think I'll pass, I'm happy with my Rebor one.

Nanmu doesn't have anything else planned other than the Giganotosaurus.
I wonder what they'll announce next (if they do this year).

What an impressive collection!

Is the Allosaurus supposed to be leaning so much?

I think it warps over time.

SidB

That was predicted. Just as "life finds a way," it seems that the curse of the theropods does too!

I think you really gotta fly the Mosasaurus to get the full effect...

R @rubicon I congratulate you on your new acquisitions, they are the Nanmu figures, as has already been commented countless times high quality figures. Nice collection, I'm happy for you.

Nice collection !
Nanmu and W-Dragon are pricey but among the best !

Sad for that Allosaurus, especially given the price, and that happened quickly :(
My W-Dragon one, also standing on one leg only seems to be doing fine for now.
I hope upcoming Ceratosaurus won't have that issue :/

Blade-of-the-Moon

My Allosaurus is still where it was when I placed it on the base. I do recall this variant leaning a bit more in production pics though.  You may be able to right it by gently bending the metal peg in the foot.

Is that the W-Dragon Giraffatitan? What a beauty!!

For those other "inexperienced" collectors out there. I attached the tail for the Apatosaurus today. I didn't want to glue it, so I just tried the hairdryer technique on the tail. After that I put the tail on the body and held it in place for a while. Even using some icepacks on the seam to quicken the cooling process.

It worked so far and the tail is still attached. Will have to see of it works for the long run as well. But the figure will be on a display tray anyway.

Note: If you use super glue on any of these pieces, be very careful. It will remove the paint if you attempt to wipe or pick off any excess.

Good to know. My apatosaurus is en route, and I likely woulda super-glued that tail. Thanks for the tip!

Honestly, the Nanmu giganotosaurus is a superior figure to its Papo counterpart, it is a high quality giganotosaurus like those of Eofauna or Eofauna. Magnificent paleorepresentation of giganotosaurus in a deluxe format with an artistic base. Thank you Nanmu !!!!

Thanks for the pics, look very good.

I'm still keeping my W-Dragon Giganotosaurus pre-order since I still love it, but unlike the W-Dragon the Nanmu seems to be based on the new skull reconstruction, and therefore might be more accurate.
But I'm not sure, I'm not really a specialist.

I wonder who is going to opt for the W-Dragon or the Nanmu.

Blade-of-the-Moon

I prefer Nanmu's Giga, though the scutes on the back are rather too big and croc-like.

Its not like we know they did not exist. ::)
But still i agree with you, the nanmu one is the best, but its out of my scale so i wont get it

PhilSauria

I'm saving my dough for the Nanmu. I don't even think about the Papo any more - what a missed opportunity that was.
