I have one of them in grey

Thanks.

The red Dinosaur with the black stripes in that auction:

Is that a painted Inivicta T-Rex? :o
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Yes, definitely is.  :)

CityRaptor

Thanks for confirming it. Just wanted to know if I was right.
Since I got outbid , I really hope that whoever won this auction knows about it's worth and not just throws it away or does something destructive to it.

Can anyone tell me anymore about this? The only results I get for searching 'dakin dinosaur' are plush dinos.

ZoPteryx

I notice a little JP symbol on its leg, it could be a Jurassic Park knockoff.

Steve170

Yeah it's definately the JP Jurassic Park. Have you heard of this company? Knockoff would mean it's an unofficial product? I've found a Dilophosaurus keychain made by the same people on ebay.

The Dakin figures are official JP toys. There were a few in the series, including this Dilophosaurus: http://www.dinotoyblog.com/2011/08/08/dilophosaurus-jurassic-parkdakin/ The review also has a little more info on the line.  8)

EDIT - There is a complete set of them on Ebay at the moment showing the others in the series:
Jurassic Park Dakin 1992 Complete Set of 6 T-rex Raptor Spitter Triceratops ++++

Steve170

Thanks very much for the info and for solving that. I agree with Gwangi a lot in his review of his Dilophosaurus, the figure has a lot of character. And this has now made me want to watch Jurassic Park too but I can't because I threw out my video player  ::)

Paleona

Can anyone ID the big red rex in this picture?

He resembles the big Aurora Prehistoric scenes model from the seventies, or one of the myriad of remakes of the dinosaur. Hard to tell with him all hunched forward and not being able to see the length of the tail, but it does resemble
Authors with varying competence have suggested dinosaurs disappeared because of meteorites...God's will, raids by little green hunters in flying saucers, lack of standing room in Noah's Ark, and palaeoweltschmerz—Glenn Jepsen

CityRaptor

It is however clearly not the Aurora Rex.

I was wondering if anyone has ever see this figure before.
It has no markings. I won it on ebay a few years back and Ive never seen one like it before.

Does anyone know something about this Giraffatitan? The ring is for size reference (it's about 1cm tall). The Giraffatitan is about 1 inch. You can read on him "CE Yolanda".

Yolanda is a Spanish company. They made an uintatherium in the late 80's, so this little sauropod is probably from the same time period.
My living room smells like old plastic dinosaur toys... Better than air freshener!

Well, I'm from Spain, so it makes sense XD
Were all their toys as tiny as my sauropod? Were they for sale or came as "surprise" with cookies/candies/anything?
I am so sorry, I can't remember anything... but I would love to see more Yolanda dinosaurs :)

Does anyone know anything about this Tyrannosaurus model kit? Like the manufacturer, and the scale?

I rather like it  :)

Thanks!

meoraptor

Does anyone know which company made these? I got them a while ago at a flea market. I apologize for the poor quality of the picture.
