Aw damn, now I'm really torn. I really like the looks of the Bistahieversor, but it's not delivered until either September of 2022 or March of 2023! I mean, it's probably worth it, but I don't know if I'll still be in to dinosaurs by then. I may just have to wait until it's for retail to the general public, and see if I'm still collecting then.

avatar_Duck @Duck Better to be safe then sorry in a case like that. It'll be there for you if and when you are ready for it (albeit a little bit more expensive).

Since I'll be heading out soon I'll try to get this done as quickly as I can (planning to help my mother do some door dash and then travel out of state to pick up a Mattel Apatosaurus while they are half off). There is a new update regarding the Gorgosaurus gallery. David also mentioned that he had to update to the paint scheme slightly to make it hopefully more manageable for the factory workers, and a mass produced figure. We are also over 1,500 backers now, and have less then $20,000 to go now for the Gorgosaurus to get funded. Slowly but surely getting there. A reminder that 11 days are remaining now.

The previous figure coloration (that Shane Foulkes did):

The updated coloration (to be honest I don't see much of a difference beyond the gold, give or take some of the blue on the head, but either way I am so excited for this one):

Just when I was starting to think this Gorgosaurus was huge, after the comparison pic in the Lythronax funded update, he does a new one with the big T. rex as well. I mean the Gorgosaurus is still massive, but wow does that really do a great job showcasing how much bigger T. rex (give or take Tarbosaurus), was compared to the rest of its family. Much like Triceratops dwarfs its relatives (with a few exceptions).

The Gorgosaurus is gorgeous (pun intended). If it was offered in 1/35 I would get it in a heart beat.

with that, agreed. I'd get almost all of these in that scale or similar tbh.
Megalosaurus, Iguanodon, Archaeopteryx, Cetiosaurus, Compsognathus, Hadrosaurus, Brontosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Albertosaurus, Herrerasaurus, Stenonychosaurus, Deinonychus, Maiasaura, Carnotaurus, Baryonyx, Argentinosaurus, Sinosauropteryx, Microraptor, Citipati, Mei, Tianyulong, Kulindadromeus, Zhenyuanlong, Yutyrannus, Borealopelta, Caihong

Faelrin

I plan to get the 1/18th ones but I would love to have them in that scale too, especially the Gorgosaurus, Albertosaurus, Yutyrannus, etc. Would go nicely with the 1/35 T. rex too of course.

Flaffy

1/24 scale would've been a great compromise between size and price since the beginning.

Especially since quite a few of the offerings in the 1/18 BotM line-up are oversized anyways.

I'm hoping that we'll see a significant jump in speed between stretch goals when Gorgo gets unlocked, making it a little easier to get the last handful funded. If we could get the Gorgo unlocked  and people pledging it, and then get the Eotyrannus unlocked within 24 hours, that would help. It's gonna be super close.

What happens if we don't clear the last couple, Moros and Albertasaurus?

avatar_Over9K @Over9K Should be backerkit/pre-order store funding like there was for the ceratopsian series. I wouldn't worry too much. Only a matter of time within the kickstarter or perhaps shortly after. Still a chance the last three days could have a major boost too.

Duck

Is there any chance that the add-ons could be delivered earlier? Has anything like that happened with the previous kickstarters?

I feel like that's why he put the Body 4's at the end like this, Das/Tarbo/Alberto probably being the most well known/popular next to the Big Boss Man. I feel like if we can get Gorgo open ASAP, that will bring in a swell that will pull through the last few goals.

A bit late on this and won't be able to update the op until I'm home later tonight but update 21 is the finished Dryptosaurus package art and other wips (Eotyrannus, Gorgosaurus, Albertosaurus, etc):

Edit: Another update with more pics of the fine cut T. rex figures and some possible poses. David wants to know if anyone is interested in grey unpainted versions of either of the 1/18 and 1/35 scale Tyrannosaurus figures. If interested please show support on the kickstarter.

That Albertosaurus package art is once again selling me on a figure the concept art had me feeling lukewarm to.

Fembrogon

I'm planning to pledge sometime this week; I know which figures I want right now, so I'm just waiting for a boost in the bank account first.

The greyscale rexes could be a good idea, but I wouldn't be buying them because I don't have any figure-painting experience myself.

Oh no, of that doesn't happen, no Eotyrannus   :-\

David has added unpainted versions of the two versions of Tyrannosaurus rex for add ons. Since these are unpainted, they'll be released earlier than the rest of the line, in April of 2022. I'm sure you've all probably heard this by now but just wanted to report it on the off chance you hadn't.

Hopefully this will give the campaign a little boost and help us get to the Gorgosaurus (which I'm sure will provide another spike) but at this rate, I have my doubts the Eotyrannus will get us through to the next heavy hitter. Perhaps now would be a good time to reveal another completed prototype if one is ready...

Those unpainted versions may be an instant buy for myself. I'd easily just send them off to be painted by an expert, or just paint them myself. Then again, you could easily assume who would paint them better....

Anyways, besides the new unpainted Tyrannosaurs', all the ones I wanted have been unlocked, Lythronax, Yutyrannus, 1/35 Tyrannosaurus, and Guanlong. However I am still waiting to see the finished Daspletosaurus and Albertosaurus.

This is going to be a long year of waiting....

Carnoking

David shared an update with a look at the Daspletosaurus, and it's looking great! Maybe not as colorful as the concept art (bit let down by that) but just as lovely in its own way!
