Gorgosaurus is SO close now! T-Rex may be my favorite Dinosaur, but in this line so far, Gorgosaurus is my favorite figure followed by Lythronax.

Eocarcharia

Now I'm actually considering getting an unpainted T. rex. I don't really have any attachment to the Dino-Riders version that I've pledged for, but I'm not sure I want to risk potentially ruining a $200+ figure with my limited painting experience or a poor choice of color scheme.

suspsy

I am anything but a supremely talented painter, as evidenced by my Aurora Prehistoric Scenes reviews. I will be sticking with my Dino-Riders T. rex, thanks! That said, I think it's a terrific idea to offer unpainted moulds. I'm sure there are scores of collectors out there who would love nothing more than coming up with their own colour schemes or creating various homages. The original Kenner JP T. rex immediately springs to mind. So do a lot of paleoartists' renditions.

Edit: It is my great pleasure to inform everyone Gorgosaurus just got funded now! Hopefully it stays too... Next up Eotyrannus which is $15,000 away at $410,000. We got this!

I'll be getting the thread's op updated now. Long over due as I've been busy these past few days, and really haven't had much of a chance. I'm fully expecting Gorgosaurus to be funded tonight.

Update 24 in the mean time with a revised Tarbosaurus and painted Daspletosaurus:

I spy Daspletosaurus package artwork in the corner (if not more).

He also shared his old raptor painting tutorial in the above update for those wanting a how to, etc, for how to go about painting their own if unfamiliar with how to do so.

Kinda sad how Pachyrhinosaurus shows up in both the artwork for the Albertosaurus and the Daspletosaurus. Would have preferred a different ceratopsian for each tyrannosaur. For that matter, I wish the DR or the standard T. rex was standing atop a slain Triceratops or Torosaurus.

The one in the Daspletosaurus artwork could be Albertaceratops. It's got that outward curving frill horn, and it lived in the Oldman Formation alongside D. torosus.

Glad to see the Daspletosaurus isn't as purple as the concept art made it out to be.

Faelrin

It looks like the Daspletosaurus has been finished as it has been added alongside the Alectrosaurus on the campaign page. Once Eotyrannus is funded I wonder if the Tarbosaurus then would be added, and so on.

Well the op hit the maximum character limit, in trying to add the above, so I am letting folks know I removed the kickstarter update section from the op. Folks will need to just refer to the kickstarter itself for those, short of me posting them in the comments here.

Edit: Gorgosaurus unlocked update:

I'm hoping there will be a third set of postcards that includes that too.

Unless you intend to change your pledge no. You can add it on to your pledge. Please see my guide on either the op here regarding add-ons, or within the FAQ section of the kickstarter itself.

If you do intend to change your pledge you'll need to switch it to the shipping for add-on tier (US or international).

Done! Thank you!

Dusty Wren

I'm amazed at how many adjustments David's made to the figures based on backer feedback during this campaign. Like, he is well within his rights as a creator to shrug and say, "Sorry, I can't make major changes this late in the game," but he seems to evaluate people's comments and do his best to meet them at least part way. Re-doing the Tarbo's stripes, replacing Teratophoneous' neck, adding the unpainted rexes, and all the other stuff he's done means a lot more work on his end. I don't know how he manages it all.

And that Eotyrannus is stinkin' adorable.
Check out my customs thread!

ok so its been a while since i did the ceratopsian Kickstarter and Ive forgotten a lot about how this works. Ive read all the very helpful FAQ and tutorials both here and on  the Kickstarter site, but I'm still confused. For now I just want the guanlong(I might change mind but I'm still waiting to see what the last  4 or 5  finished prototypes look like.) On the select your reward page am I supposed to click pledge $5 base shipping for add on since I only want an add on figure (guanlong) and none of the pledge reward figures? or must I select a reward figure? I clicked pledge $5 base shipping for add on but nothing happens other than offering me a pledge $10 button? (And what is that for?) I cant seem to find that page that gives you the drop down list of add ons anywhere.
