avatar_Over9K @Over9K , I prefer to display my lipped W-Dragon with the closed-mouth head too. This figure really fits in well with your diorama.

I'm planning on using the open-mouth head when I put this one and my custom Cameron together, so I wanted to get a nice closed mouth shot for the solo shoot. I was pleased this one turned out as well as it did! This was the first time using substrate to simulate bare-ground in my diorama set up too. I've been wanting to be able to show these figures fully, head-to-toe.

Since we have a vibrant Kaiju fandom and discussion elsewhere on the forum, and since the Monster Toy Blog has no forum, I thought I would share some of my Kaiju photos here.

Most of these figures are by X-Plus, with a few Bandai, and a NECA or two thrown in. I call my miniature Japanese city "Tohokyo"...

Where did you get the Japanese city buildings? Have you got any pictures that give an idea of their actual size?

The buildings are all Japanese N-Scale (1/150) model railroad scenery. US N-Scale (1/200) and Euro N-scale (1/160) model railroad scenery will also work with 25cm and 30cm Kaiju figures. You can also find many buildings in 1/144 scale. I have buildings from Kato, Tomy-Tec and Tomix, which are some of the bigger names in Japanese model railroading. I ordered most of them from Hobby Search, a Japanese retailer (https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/rail). You can also find many of them on Amazon. Most of these companies are also selling these buildings for use in tabletop wargaming, so a search using those terms should also work.

A word of caution: I stick with the pre-assembled buildings for the most part, because the kits I have built have been unholy pains-in-the-arse to build.

My tallest buildings are 10 inches, give or take, and they range down to 4 inches or so. In some of the photos I'm actually cheating building heights by putting them on risers for effect.

Here is an image of one of the set ups for an image I posted above. You can see the buildings up on risers to give them some extra height.

One doesn't really need any hard scenery to make a fun image.

Pausing a movie, and posing your figures in front of the TV works...

X-Plus 25cm Large Monsters Series Godzilla '65, Background from Invasion Of Astro-Monster

Throw a wallpaper up on a monitor, and use that as a background.... perhaps adding a little directed light for effect...

X-Plus Gigantic Series Godzilla '01

X-Plus/Star Ace Kong '17

Of course, the great outdoors also provides. Just take a low-angle image on  your figure against a nice sky, add a little digital editing, and these figures come to life!
