Alternative Jurassic Park film titles

I was recently grumbling with a friend (to a friend, really, they disagreed with me) about the trend for cinema franchises to exclude numbers in their movie titles, and how even franchises that do number their films can't resist going off the rails (Fast and Furious). Give my a Rocky 1 through 5 any day.

Then I started moaning about the Jurassic World franchise, one of my favourite pastimes :P. But I couldn't remember what the new ones were actually called, so I called them Jurassic World 2 and 3, which is what they obviously should be called ;). But really, the franchise went off the rails with The Lost Word: Jurassic Park, an awful title, which should clearly have been Jurassic Park 2.

And so it was that we came up with our Fast and Furious-inspired list of alternative Jurassic Park/World franchise titles; past, present, and future. :))

Jurassic Park
2 Jurassic 2 Park
Jurassic Park: Tyrannosaur Drift
Jurassic Park 4
Jurassic Five
Jurassic Park 6
Park 7
The Park of the Jurassic 8
Jurassic Park Presents: Grant and Tembo
J9

We also started making predictions for Jurassic World 3 (Jurassic Park 6), and based on those fruitful discussions, we came up with a tagline to summarise our predictions.

Jurassic Park 6: This Time The Pirates DO eat the tourists.

Just spitballing, you know.

CityRaptor

Well, obviously Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom should be called The Lost Park: Jurassic World and the third should be Literal Jurassic World.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Ha! I honestly muddle up Jurassic World and The Lost World when I say them.

How about this alternative title for JW3. Jurassic Kingdom: The Fallen World.

Loon

Thank you. I'm happy I'm not the only one who thinks The Lost World: Jurassic Park is a terrible title.

My suggestion would be to replace the word ''Jurassic'' with ''Cretaceous'' in all the titles, as the vast majority of the dinosaurs in the films are from the Cretaceous :P Although I admit that Cretaceous Park doesn't sound nearly as catchy as Jurassic Park.

Would´ve been an awful title aswell, since there wasn´t even a Park in that movie.
In a perfect world, the titles would have been:

Jurassic Park
Jurassic Island
Jurassic City
Jurassic Country
Jurassic Continent
Jurassic World

I want to say that they addressed that in the novel.  Been awhile since I read it so I could be wrong.

Anyhow, if anything it should be named Mesozoic Park.
Keep calm and love dinosaurs

Seriously, though, that's not a bad idea.

CityRaptor

Jurassic Multiverse
Jurassic Place

There is actually a movie called Jurassic City:

And one called Jurassic Galaxy, too:

Not really an alternative, but I have to say, I think that naming the new series "Jurassic World" was a fantastic idea. Really makes me think of Disneyland and Disney World.

Yeah, I really don't mind it, either. It's the name of the theme park, like Jurassic Park was. It's the suffixes that are messy. So, on that basis, how about:

Jurassic Park
Jurassic Island
Return to Jurassic Island (JP3 is set on site B, right?)
Jurassic World
Jurassic Mansion
Jurassic Planet

:P

Jurassic Park is set on site B. Honestly, "Jurassic Park: Site B" wouldn't have been such a bad title for the second film. Then, you could call the third film "Return to Site B".

So, here's my list:

Jurassic Park
Jurassic Park: Site B
Jurassic Park: Return to Site B
Jurassic World
Jurassic World: Lost
Jurassic World: I Dont Know, I Give Up

I like what you came up with

I borrowed some of your titiles, and changed some things

Jurassic Park
Jurassic Park: Site B
Jurassic Park: Return to Site B
Jurassic Park 4: Rampage of the Indominus
Jurassic Park Extiction

Thats it, No sixth film.

Jurassic World 3 Should never be made because the Plot of JW 2 should of ended diffrently, and my altenate titile says everything

The Lost World: Jurassic Park always bugged me because there was no reason not to switch it around.
Jurassic Park 2 - The Lost World

I'd rename the Lost World franchise into:
- JP4 - Actual Jurassic Park (for extra confusion)
- JP5 - Breakout Breakdown (inspired by superior franchise Ice Age ;))
- JP6 - Park, what Park?

Future movies (prequel series):
- JP7 - Revelations
- JP8 - Rex Awakens
- JP9 - Rise of Hammond

Triple R for that sweet R rating.

Jurassic Mansion

That one made me laugh irl because it's true and reminds me of Haunted Mansion. Given how we basically got a horror raptor in that one, it fits as well ;D

Rise of Hammond makes me think of him slowly waking up and putting on a pot of coffee. :))
A scene from Rise of Hammond would look something like this.
