These are great Martin! I have this kit as well but have not started it yet. I like that pattern on your first one, and the extra work on that last one to show movement was really awesome as well. I always love seeing your work.

While I have you here, I would like to post the one I just finished you saw on FB, is this the category on the forum I would do that? I assume it is since this is where you are posting yours. Just making sure as I am still quite new here. I do have them up on Clubhouse as well.

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

Since it is a model you can start a thread here and share it or in the Dinosaur Art section, totally up to you.

Chris

Okay thanks Chris. :)

The Aaron Doyle set of Psittacosaurus models. This set was based and painted by Martin , and you can see just what a great scene these models make together. My scene features all four original poses, as test prints. I am delighted with the model and feel Both Martin and Aaron did an incredible job, with an assist from Marilyn of course.Of all of my projects so far, this one was the most important for me and I feel Martin once again went clear over the top and demonstrated his skills superbly.

:o Wow! The 'Psittaco at Waterhole' scene is amazing! Congrats!
A highlight for your Psittacosaurus collection :)

[Off Nick and Eddie's reactions to the dinosaurs] Oh yeah "Ooh, aah", that's how it always starts. But then there's running and screaming.

{about the T-Rex) When he sees us with his kid isn't he gonna be like "you"!?

Each time I look at this one I see something Martin did to provide more depth. Notice the Cloaca he painted into the resting model for instance....or the "drinker" and its darker face and head patterning....perhaps the male of the group? He also hand painted all of that patterning...and the method he uses for producing the resin water features is art in itself. Thanks for the nice comments Postie, this piece was created and commissioned specifically to display with the skeleton I have, so it will have  a great home. Thanks Martin !!!

Doesn't the model already have a cloaca, though? Unless I'm misunderstanding your comment somehow. Sorry if that's the case.

My wording was not the best for sure...what I perhaps should have said is ..notice how he managed to paint the cloaca to show that particular area in such a lifelike fashion...not just the opening itself, but the immediate area.He not only managed to paint the detail itself, but the area immediately surrounding looks quite lifelike, a detail often missing in many models. I was impressed with it. You are quite correct that it was already a sculpted feature in Aarons model TQ and thanks for making note of it.

Thanks :) my favorite are the Allosaurus and the big T-Rex. Ah sorry to hear that.

Sad to see these go, really do hope they find a good home!

Martin Garratt, how do you make these excellent bases for your models? I would like to make something similar (with some water in it as well, like on your Koolasuchus) for my recently acquired Shapeways Baryonyx by Mb-cg.

Martin once posted a step-by-step describtion. I'm just not sure if it was in the first Garrattization-thread on DTF v.1 or if it's in this thread. You have to look for it :).
