Toys that you think would be so cool if they existed?

This is for ideas for awesome extinct organism toys that you think would be really cool to see made...

Toy companies feel free to stop by and steal ideas!

I'll start! Mini extinct animals that you have to shine UV Light on to see hidden patterns and colours, we get plenty of glow in the dark toys representing bioluminescence, where's the love for biofluorescence?- partly inspired by HTTYD 3 merchandise.

I think that would be cool to see done if pulled off correctly, especially on prehistoric marine organisms of the deep.

More plants and diorama/bases/playsets and other misc accessories sold separately would be nice to see. There really isn't much out there, other then perhaps the sets Schleich made in the past, and perhaps the Beasts of the Mesozoic ones. For plants I think only Safari Ltd, CollectA, and Schleich really made any. Edit: Correction, Beasts of the Mesozoic has plants as well, but sold in their accessory packs, not individually.

yes!!! I've just been looking into prehistoric plant toys recently,  there are not enough! Companies should sell Formation diorama kits full of extinct flora growing on a base for landscape building. Yknow, a hell creek landscape, a lime regis blue lias one and so on. I just desperately want a little carboniferous swamp in a tank in my room! Id put actual pond water and duckweed in it and then get one of those reptile tank mist things to make it all foggy and mysterious... some mini temnospondyls and freshwater sharks would look so good in that...

Good points on the plants.  avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres thread on the best figures recently focussed on plants and there's not many out there. The old kits like Aurora's Jungle Swamp had some good trees and cycads, but are very hard to come by now and pricey. I'd love to see a reasonably priced box with tree ferns, cycads, horsetail clusters etc produced by one of the big companies. It's be even better if they produced some different ones for separate eras.

I'd like a set of modular plant parts, a bit like the Aurora kits but already painted. They'd need to be fairly generic, so trunks could be cycads, palms or the lower sections of tree ferns etc.. Fern fronds could be for both tree and ground types. It would mean trunks and leaves could be different materials.

Halichoeres

Yeah, not a lot of plant options. A few from Creative Beast, and a few from CollectA. I wouldn't mind some period-specific diorama bases incorporating plants, either fully-formed or modular. For aquatic scenes, it could be sessile animals like crinoids, corals (which looked very different in the Paleozoic), sponges, sea squirts, etc.

Good point about the marine stuff such as crinoids, corals, sponges, etc. Would love sets of those or bases incorporating them.

yes! This would be brilliant, imagine a decent sized fish tank toy with different sediment layers painted on the side of the plastic sand base with burrowing inverts and marine plants to insert into it with a tank you can fill with water with lighting on top, and those small plastic floating fish you can get but representing obscure prehsitoric fish species! A cambrian explosion tank all the way down to a late cenozoic tank, a pliocene bay or something with kelp. You can line them up next to each other for an aquarium timeline!! I'd buy them all.

I'd buy these too, but I probably wouldn't fill them with water. I'd probably rig something up with string? Filling them with water seems like a good way to grow algae and mold. I'll take the dust, thanks!

so true! A BOTM one with a freshwater base to stand it on with some small fish and waterlilies. Perfection.

A Listracanthus plush would be absolutely perfect. The plush toy medium is perfect for resurrecting the hairy shark in all its glory, it would be a perfect candidate for a plush by wild Republic or something.

I think the correct format for Listracanthus is Koosh.

avatar_Reuben03 @Reuben03 That may be a good candidate for PRI to make in their Paleozoic Pals line. Definitely should suggest that to them.
