I checked my settings, which are set to "always" notify by email of a new personal message. I'm using Gmail, and I've checked my Spam folder as well as both the Social and Promotions tabs. Anything else silly I might be overlooking?

I have been experiencing this lately too, specifically for notification of mentions.

Same, when I first joined, I was receiving notifications for mentions, but over the past few months they have vanished.

I haven't received any notifications recently either. I only noticed an inbox when it popped up on here

Thanks for flagging this. There is indeed a bunch of error messages in the forum log saying that email notifications could not be delivered, and the mail queue is backed up to 20 days ago. I suspect this is related to my fix for the recent problem with the forum text not typing properly, which happened then. Let me see if I can resolve it....

OK, I have changed a server setting. This should fix the problem with email notifications (could somebody kindly 'mention' me to test it?) but let me know if the problem with typing reoccurs...

Well, I just got an email notification for a previously un-notified mention, so it did something.

That's good, the mail queue is being emptied as old notifications are being delivered. It means new notifications will be working, too.  :)

Yes, that makes sense, a server setting was responsible and both forums are on the same server.
