Ladies and gentlemen,  this thread will be fun and fill a much needed gap.  Let' s share useless facts about everything concerning palaeontology,  prehistoric animal toys and models.  First fact:

Eofauna Atlasaurus and Bullyland  1990 Brachiosaurus have EXACTLY the same height.

The Dieter Stark figure released by Kenner for The Lost World: Jurassic Park does not look like the character at all. But it perfectly matches the Human Hunter character from the PSX game based on the movie.

Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

What a fun idea for a thread. Here's one: the Inpro Heterodontosaurus is misspelled "HETERODONTDSAURUS" on its belly.

Oh no, what an unfortunate piece of knowledge to possess! Was it an easy repair at least?

Yeah, that happens to foot of the big Sega T.rex ( the earlier, skinny version ), too. And the foot bounces off and ends up at the other end of the room.

What a coincidence. Also, the upper jaw of the brown coloured skinny Sega T. rex is wider than on the grey Version.

Normally, Starlux Ornithosuchus is bipedal. However, if you break off its right food at the right height, it becomes credibly quadrupedal.  >:( ... ^-^

The Henkel/Ovomaltine/Yoplait Diplocaulus is misspelled "Diplaucolus" on its belly.

I learned this fact from an eBay listing, where the Diplocaulus sold for over $200.  :(

avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres I did reattach the head, but the seam is visible. Will have to repaint it

For a new useless fact, excluding the 2 infant animals, almost half of the original prehistoric mammals sculpted by Doug Watson for Safari Ltd begin with the letter A.

I can trade with you two of mine if you want.

Another useless fact: in the Spanish dubbing of BBC Walking With Dinosaurs, narrator talked about Velociraptor instead of Utahraptor. Now all Spanish adults think Velociraptors live in Europe and two of them can kill a Iguanodon.

Starlux mastodon figure is an Anancus, indeed.

Jaru's Marx slim Tyrannosaurus's knock off has 5 letters of the name TYRANNOSAURUS inverted.  ;D

Maybe it's a rare variant of an already rare line. 😉

Useless fact:
The Monster in My Pocket Compsognathus has a pair flippers!

Now a fun fact is that THIS WAS CORRECT in 1975!

Yes the figure is a Compsognathus Corallestris.

This subspecies then was called "Compsognathus collarestris".
