I'm hoping it's either the Utahraptor or the Carnotaurus!

Deinonychus just got funded. Just jumped up like $2k in a hot minute. It was just sitting over $283k lol.

Also absolutely need to share this sick package artwork of the Dilophosaurus set from Raul Ramos:

I mentioned this is in the update's comments, and possibly before, but yeah the Fire Clan's armor aesthetic is definitely my favorite so far of the bunch we have seen. I'm so glad the Dilophosaurus Pyrodactyl is getting translucent fire wings too like seen in this package art, or the artwork for the kickstarter exclusive print.

Edit: I also asked this in the comment there, but would anyone be interested in bundles of the different clans figures (like a bundle for all the Fire clan things, Tech, etc), after the stretch goals are all unlocked?

I somehow forgot to share the recent update. Oops. I thought I did, but guess I forgot to hit post. This one is for the lore and concept art (much of which followers of this thread or the creativebeast socials will be familiar with by now):

Campaign has definitely reached its slowest now I think, but totally normal. That said we are less then $15k to go to unlocking the Dryptosaurus set.

Almost $12k away from Dryptosaurus now. Here's some paint progress on the Dilophosaurus Pyrodactyl armor:

Dryptosaurus is now available to pledge for. The full set still has like $6k to go, but David changed things up so that it unlocked earlier.

From a comment on the kickstarter:

QuoteHeads-up everyone! To help bridge the gap between stretch goal sets, I'm allowing the dinosaur from each set to unlock halfway to the next set goal, which means that the Cyberzoic Dryptosaurus figure is now available for pledge as a reward tier or an add-on! Full update coming soon!

Good on David changing some things up to help get things moving as the campaign has been stalled for the past few days I think, and the campaign has 12 days to go.

Edit: Dilophosaurus itself unlocks at $340k. About $2k left at this moment until the full Dryptosaurus set is unlocked. Dilophosaurus by itself is $55 during the campaign ($64.99 MSRP post campaign). Not a bad price for such a beautiful mid sized figure. Edit 2: Same price tier as the Smilodon actually.

I mean, that seems to have been a very efficient idea and that it's working very well. But I don't get why does David still doesn't want to reveal all the stretch goals, we are less than two weeks to the end of the Kickstarter and many people might not even know that there's a Carnotaurus coming. Not trying to criticize David, just genuine worrying from someone who REALLY REALLY REALLY wants all the stretch goals of this Kickstarter to be unlocked  :(

David has said in the comments that he doesn't want people pledging money for figures that haven't been unlocked yet. If he reveals the order and price of the remaining figures, people will preemptively add that money to their pledges...and if those goals still aren't met by the end of the campaign, those people will reduce their pledges, potentially "locking" other goals that were unlocked when that money was added.

From what I've seen of Kickstarter campaigns, he's probably right about that. I wouldn't worry about the Carnotaurus. The Ceraptopsian campaign finished with only about half the stretch goals unlocked, and all the remaining figures were unlocked in Backerkit.

Dilophosaurus is nearly $10k away at this point in time. Can't wait. David also revealed Utahraptor is next in line on a FB comment, after the Dilophosaurus set is funded.

I'm still perplexed as to why the hugely popular Carnotaurus is being left so late. Maybe David is saving it as an end of Kickstarter boost?

Probably, and it would be a good idea. Carno being the most popular one, it's late offer would be a great way to make people aim for fully funding the Kickstarter. Imho probably the Forest Dragon will be the last one but Carno being just before him would get a lot of funds for then just placing the Cherry on Top with the Dragón, placing Carno earlier might make people lose interest in some of the remaining ones after Carno gets funded, and that would be a terrible circumstance.

I feel the same way. But for now I'll wait, since we know Haolonggood is making one. Granted, I prefer Dilophosaurus being depicted with feathers and the HLG will surely lack them, but I'm not sure that would justify shelling out that extra money and space just for that, if the rest of the figure is fine. I will be more interested in seeing if HLG gets the proportions right:

Of course, PNSO might release one as well, since they're heavily focused on theropods and Dilophosaurus is a famous one. I would actually rather get one from HLG or PNSO rather than the Cyberzoic/BotM one (even if the latter would probably be more impressive) just to save some space and money.

D @David96 Not sure I agree. When it comes to the ceratopsian campaign, wasn't the big Triceratops the last stretch goal (or one of the very latest ones)? And that campaign ended up with quite a few stretch goals missing. Interestingly, for the next tyrannosaur campaign, David did put the T. rex figures at the beginning, and that campaign was a bigger success (okay, I also guess tyrannosaurs are just more popular animals than ceratopsians are, but I think that decision by David played a part in such a success too). And I think it makes sense: offer first what people are most looking forward to. Otherwise, you'd have people pledging for stuff they're not really interested in just to make the campaign advance. And so, when the figure/s they're really interested in get unlocked (if that happens) they will drop their prior pledges and change to add what they were really looking forward to, potentially making the campaign lose money.

At the end of the day, I'm not really concerned about the possibility of the Carnotaurus not being funded. As of right now, it seems unlikely it will get funded in the actual campaign (I very much hope to be proven wrong), but I guess it will get funded with BackerKit regardless, as previously said. I also find it odd how the Dryptosaurus is an earlier stretch goal than any of the new ones (Carnotaurus, Dilophosaurus, Utahraptor). I think offering the Allosaurus first was a smart move, since it's the most famous out of the offered dinosaurs. Going off by that criterion I would have expected the Carnotaurus to be left for much shortly after.

Faelrin

We hit the $340k mark on the kickstarter, which means the Dilophosaurus is unlocked. Hopefully it only keeps on going up from here.

I hope the Utahraptor gets funded, which thankfully looks to be the case. I can't really see everything planned getting funded through the kickstarter though as there's still 3 planned sets/creatures, with 5 days left. Hopefully I'm proven wrong, although if they're not the baker kit can possibly fund them like what happened with the ceratopsians.

Yeah, given how popular Carno and the Forest Dragon are I think that they'd get unlocked easily trough Backerkit. The other best part of going into Backerkit is that hopely David can include a bit more stuff to potentially get unlocked such as Pachy or Andrewsarchus. Which would also get unlocked easily 🤞

Full gallery of the Dilophosaurus set is up now. Such an awesome set. Hoping to get all of these at some point.

By the way, Utahraptor is about $15k away from being funded. Less then 4 days remaining.
