A @austrosaurus See some of the posts above for the Dreadnoughtus. ;)  It's the biggest one they've made yet.

There was also a repaint of the Brachiosaurus this year (in the FK/Dominion coloration). Otherwise as far as some smaller sauropods go, there's the baby Brachiosaurus that released last year that's getting a repaint for next year, and also the Ampelosaurus that's about the size of the Amargasaurus from 2019.

holy cow!  Not only announced but Dreadnoughtus has been released.   It looks like they reused  the Apatosaurus body and stuck a new neck and tail on it, is that correct?

Carnoking

I'll need to take a closer look but I do believe it's an entirely new sculpt.

andrewsaurus rex

after watching a brief video review, I think it is a new sculpt, but the legs are very similar to those of the Apatosaurus.   Certainly an impressive size even compared to Brachio and I love the more up to date broad based neck, rather than the more serpentine neck of Brachio.    Feet are too big, par for the course with Mattel.....I'll hide them with a bit of foliage.

Colour scheme is ok but the base colour is a bit dark for my tastes.  Overall a mighty impressive figure!

andrewsaurus rex

oh, and thanks for the info!  So excited I forgot my manners.    :)

Wondered if Mattel had made any new sauropod figures and turns out they made one of one of the biggest sauropods of all time.

Gwangi

It's an entirely new sculpt. My review for it will be up on the blog within a few days.  ^-^

Dilopho

Sorry if this is asked before, what's the status on these in the UK? I heard Toyopolis isn't allowed to have the dilophosaurus or dr sattler despite them being the only place in the UK which carries them. And I heard they're becoming target exclusive in the US?
Why are they so limited?

Blame Target. They tell Mattel they won't carry the line unless it's an exclusive to them, being the largest retailer they can pretty much demand what they want.  I saw about 5 Sattlers and one Dilo at a local store recently, people just don't buy the humans as much.

I'm in the US, but I did see Toyopolis did have the Ankylosaurus and Geosternbergia the other day, but now they are gone (regret not screen capping it now). Other retailers like Big Bad Toy Store and Entertainment Earth are not carrying any of the new ones, nor does Toys R Us Canada appear to be, if not other retailers out there. No pre-orders of the new stuff anywhere that I could find either shockingly. Entertainment Earth had pre-orders for the Ceratosaurus and Triceratops canceled, if not others, or so I've heard. Amazon doesn't have any of the newer waves up for pre-order either, post Ellie and Dilophosaurus.

Very much a bad move over all, and will no doubt cost Mattel in the long run, by killing off any international support, and potential customers for the Hammond Collection, a lot more outside of then just what's in the US (even if this is the domestic market for Jurassic Park/World. As avatar_Blade-of-the-Moon @Blade-of-the-Moon said, the blame is very much likely to be on Target. I think the instagram post by Toyopolis I've linked below pretty much nails it, since who else could it logically be if not them right now? And honestly it could be problematic for even those in the US that don't have access to any nearby Target stores, unless the website is of help. Big Bad Toy Store and Entertainment Earth were both good alternatives (or Amazon I guess, but they are a last resort for me typically).

Again since I'm in the US, I don't know if Smyths has carried any HC figures this year (the website doesn't show any however), but I do know they carried the Amber Collection in prior years, and again also the Legacy line, so fingers crossed they do at least carry it next year, which would provide some folks in the UK, and possibly Germany access to them, such as one of my closest friends, who is in Germany.

Here's two videos on the subject:

Here's the Toyopolis instagram post mentioned in the second video:

Also tagging avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy to bring this to their attention since I remember they mentioned it in the 2023 thread.

You know, I was trying not to think that much about it,"Maybe Amazon.com and BBTS will get their preorder a bit later, it has only been a few days since the figures were announced... But now I´m dreading the potential disaster...Amazon.com and BBTS are currently the best and cheapest option for collectors outside the USA.

I´m not asking for these figures to be released in my country, I`m just asking for a way to order them from USA that doesn't not cost me a fortune! Like, you are telling me it might be easier to get anime figures directly from Japan than getting some freakin´ Jurassic World toys from USA in the future?!

Using a proxy service is no good option either. I was trying to get the Kitchen Encounter pack (That no EU or UK retailer carried) and I added the HC Triceratops since it had become more expensive on amazon. Target cancelled my first attempt, not sure if because it detected I was shipping to a proxy address or because it detected that I was paying from outside USA (I used PayPal though), then I find other proxy that allows me to buy from Target. And the cheapest shipping option was like 70 f****** dollars! (I payed of course, but man... :'( ) The box it was shipped was oversized of course but... I got boxes as big as that one (and heavier) from Japan for less! >:(

I´m already restricting myself from collecting more of the Hammond Collection because of the extra cost. But I want the JP3 Ankylo, and the JP3 raptors, and future potential figures like a Lost World Stegosaurus, Giganotosaurus, Spinosaurus, Corythosaurus...

I recently had to overpay to get the extreme damage Atrociraptor cause I´m pretty sure wave 2 and 3 of the extreme damage won't reach my country...I´m tired man...

Maybe I should just repaint some raptors, like I originally planned, buy a Dominion Ankylosaurus and repaint it, get the Sarah Harding set and be ok with that Stegosaurus being my TLW representative...despite the bad action features, the Dominion Giga isn't that bad...

Blade-of-the-Moon

I can't believe no member here in the States would assist you?  You could have paid them and they could have ordered it all with free shipping and then just shipped it to you?

Faelrin

I would have no issues with assisting you avatar_MLMjp @MLMjp. I frequently help send things to my friend in Germany (typically Kenner sets, but Mattel stuff as well). If this goes through, no doubt I would need to help him get all of these. Granted yeah international shipping from the US to elsewhere is pretty expensive atm.

Maybe it could be possible for folks on the forum to split a haul if such a thing would be of help to reduce the cost of shipping from the US to Europe?

It´s an option but I´m a hesitant to ask. It is not that I don't trust you guys, but at the end of the day, I don't really know any of you personally, so I´m feeling like I`m asking for something that I shouldn't since we are not close friends. avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin remember when I asked you a few months ago? I almost didn´t because of this.

Besides, I would feel like I'll owe something to that person for the favors. And considering not much stuff arrives in Europe I don't believe there is much that I could do for it.

But thank you for the offer, I'll think about it.

Faelrin

avatar_MLMjp @MLMjp I wouldn't require any favors in return. Just payment for the stuff (and no I wouldn't scalp you, just the retail stuff and the PA state 6% sales tax to cover the cost of the stuff, no more, no less). I have like a dozen Target stores near by as well. It's how I've done it with my international friends for quite a while now, and they've done for me, vice versa. I just like helping folks out really, because trust me I get how frustrating and disappointing, and expensive it can be to have to import your figures. Lord knows how many I've done that with in the past, especially for Mattel figures (Lockwood Battle Damage set, Maisie, Postosuchus, Scutosaurus, many BD figures, etc). Usually to cut down on shipping costs I'd do like a big bulk order too. I might have some examples of those in my collection thread, if not my instagram account as well. I pretty much do the same with my friend in Germany. I'll hold his stuff for however long, until he wants me to have it shipped.

But I also totally understand not feeling comfortable with it either. I wouldn't want to push you into something that you wouldn't feel comfortable with. And honestly hopefully you wouldn't need to trouble yourself with something like this either. Fingers crossed they get them somewhere closer to you.

And oh dear what you did you ask me help with previously, because I totally forgot, sorry? My memory is terrible these days really.

Here's a video with all the 2022 Wave 3 mini codes, for anyone interested in tracking these down. Guess they're finally popping up?

Thanks! Definitely need to track down some of these. Especially the Nasutoceratops and Sinoceratops.

Faelrin

avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy Yeah same here. Hopefully I can find them the next time I'm out hunting. Been waiting way too long for proper minis of each of those for my mini film species collection (yep did this with both the mainline and minis). Although I'm still short of many of the Dominion species like the Atrociraptor, Dimetrodon, Moros, and Pyroraptor. Come to think of it I'm surprised they didn't make a mini of the Dreadnoughtus. Missed opportunity there. Then again we don't have the Oviraptor in the mainline or a mini of that. Same with the Microceratus as well, which certainly benefit from a mini figure or two (based on the red and blue colorations in the film).

avatar_Takama @Takama I thought I had done so in the 2023 thread yesterday, or so, but I only merely mentioned it in passing, and forgot to share the links. So good thing you did. Some are unfortunately already sold out now.

Honestly if they really do release this month, with the November date, then I wonder if those would technically be part of the 2022 lineup and not 2023's? But then again there have been times were stuff in the mainline released earlier due to the upcoming holiday. Most that I've seen are treating it as 2023 releases though. Regardless probably good to have them up in both threads just in case.
