Thanks for the heads up avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin !
Toyopolis has put up the preorders for:
- Geosternbergina
- Ankylosaurus JP3
- Pacycephalosaurus TLW
- Male Velociraptor JP3

I'm still debating on if I want to get the HC Ankylosaurus and Geosternbergina. Since the former has a noticeably innaccurate sculpt (JW rather than JP3, their "Beyond the Gates" video was just blatant lies O:-) ); whilst the latter never had an on-screen appearance, nor does it have pycnofibres, which is odd as even the Legacy Collection Geosternbergina has fuzz.

Good thing I managed to get my hands on the Lystrosaurus set when I did (slightly above retail, $18.99 I think?). Unless Entertainment Earth gets this one in stock, or restocks down the line happen (doubtful) this might be pretty hard to find soon. Showing up on Amazon now for $169.95 courtesy of a third party seller. Hope everyone here who wanted this little dude was able to get your hands on this set.

Edit: This is like the 2019 Dimetrodon situation all over again, which I also got very lucky with.

Still looking to track down that Lystrosaurus. It seems that Mattel has zero interest in making it a standalone figure...

Faelrin

avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy I hope you can get your hands on one, without having to pay outrageous prices. I just found out the set was canceled on Entertainment Earth, so unless you can find it at a store near you (unlikely), or some obscure online shop that has it in stock, you might be out of luck unfortunately.

I did find this site that seems to have it in stock (at the time of writing this), but not sure if it is legit or not? Worth looking into more. Although that also assumes they ship to you as well.

I also found it on this Aliexpress seller, but going for quite a bit.

You could try searching "ジュラシック・ワールド ベータ" to see if it pops up on Japanese auction sites, in case that might be another option.

Or there's always ebay or whatever other auction site. Good luck.

I've seen a few posts from collectors finding it in store. Fingers crossed it starts showing up at retailers but if it doesn't I'll cope. The captivz version is a much better representation in my eyes and I was lucky to pick one of those out.

I have a few of the Captivz ones for sale still and a lot of the others from the last wave.

Wasn't sure where these should go. They're part of the new line but still showing up on shelves in 2022, so I decided to share them here. I told myself I would be pumping the breaks on these Jurassic World toys now that the franchise has concluded and the line has been on the decline as of late. But my resolve just falls apart the second I see a new toy on the shelves! In all honesty, these ones are pretty good (for mostly original Mattel toys), and the Kronosaurus is top tier for this price range!

The Kronosaurus is really beautiful. Simple paints can go a long way with a nice pattern or two. Probably helps it doesn't have claws so easier for them to getaway with it too (where as on the theropods it doesn't look as good when they aren't painted and it is pretty obvious it's a cost cutting thing, despite prices being raised).

I like the Diabloceratops as well, but wish the rest of the horns were painted. Oh well an easy fix to do.

I got to get that kronosaurus! It's beautiful!

Eatmycar

That Diabloceratops looks SO good. Like, I'm very frustrated about the lack of horn paint, but the sculpt detail... damn.

Having it in hand it is quite nice.

Yeah, I just picked one of those up and I'm impressed, actually. The whole Captivz line makes me think, "why can't Mattel be this good?"

The whole Captivz line makes me think "Why does attempting to aquire these nice figures have so many drawbacks?"

-Relative expensive ( Between 6 and 8 Euros here in Germany depending on the series )
-You don't know which one you get.
-Those silver Jurassic World Symbols on them are rather unsightly and distracting. I have Charlie and she kinda looks like she has an Arc-Reactor in her chest. Should have left those things unpainted.
- As with many Minis there is rather a lot of waste. One layer of plastic around the egg, one bag inside the egg that contains the figure. Some people probably also throw the egg itself away. Even more waste if you buy one of the 3-Packs.
-Slime. I hate slime. You just know that stuff is also getting thrown away sooner or later. So more waste.

Geez I sound rather negative, don't I?

Anyways, there is a new series of Captivz Hatchlings out:

Adorable.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Faelrin

Oh those look very nice. There's also some 30th anniversary ones coming out next year (January it seems), including a figure of Corythosaurus (probably the first JPIII one honestly, unless Kaiyodo did one ages ago).

Honestly I'm more interested in the Kenner styled collector cards they come with.

I think it's also the first we've seen the parasaurolophus from the first film represented as a toy.

avatar_Pachyrhinosaurus @Pachyrhinosaurus Oh good point about that one too (which is something I've been wanting to see Mattel do for years now, and still as of now). Come to think of it they were the first to get to the JPIII Ankylosaurus and Brachiosaurus as well.

Edit: Well if anyone was holding out hope for that Extreme Damage Spinosaurus and Albertosaurus set, I just got word it was canceled. Third time Spinosaurus got the shaft here. Not gonna be shocked it was because Walmart didn't want to carry it. There is a slim chance it could show up in other countries, but chances aren't looking too good though.

Review of the Hammond Collection Concavenator. Looks good, debating if it's worth getting though considering it barely could be considered to having an on-screen appearance.

Don't know if anyone else has seen it yet, but I just found the Ferocious Pack Einiosaurus on the shelf at a Fred Meyer (Kroger). Cool figure, instant buy!

Faelrin

I just got charged today for my last minute pre-orders (I did earlier this month) for the HC Dilophosaurus and HC Ellie at BBTS, since they finally came into in stock (or back into stock if they had them before):

That just leaves Malcolm and the JP raptor left of the HC for me, until the new stuff is more readily available (I know the Concavenator has shown up already).

Our Krogers aren't cool enough to carry toys.. :/
