I know Many of us dont care about this company, but I personally think they deserve more respect since, well, 2020.   And I was sad that 2021 gave us only 1 figure from them, Will 2022 be any diffrent?

First of their Prehistorics is not  Even really a Prehistoric species.   Its a Modern type of

Coelacanth

Next is an Upgraded

Woolly Mammoth

Edit
IT turns out that the Coelacanth is not a Prehistoric life figure after all,  But a part of the Sealife Range.

Thialfi

Gotta say, it looks pretty good! I really liked last years smilodon as well. Mojo definitely has potential for greatness, they sound quite ambitious. Hope we get more of them in 2022!

Thialfi

More to come (could be solely extant animals as well of course)!

Gwangi

Not bad, but I'm pretty satisfied with the Safari figure.

Renecito

Hey I really like this Coelacanth!

I wonder if Mojo will be able to reuse the SR Thylacoleo mould?

I didn't know Mojo and SR were connected, how exactly?

Here a bonus from the STS-Forum, the new Mojö Fun Wolly mammoth.
That's all for 2022, Southlands Thylacoleo is not being reissued by Mojö Fun.
The renowned sculptress Anna Dobrowolska-Oczko sculpted Southlands Brumby horses and she is also the sculptor of Mojö Fun horses. Here is a link between both brands for sure. Anna also sculpted other models like the mighty Mojö Fun gaur or their thylacine.
Obviously it means the end of the line for Southlands, fortunately Mojö is rescuing some of the moulds. I suspect the superb SR saltwater crocodile never got into the mould stage or it would be fantastic to see this figure in Mojö's range. I believe it was more exciting for this community if it was a Deinosuchus instead. ;)

Thialfi

Oh wow avatar_Roger @Roger, that mammoth doesn't look half bad at all. Would definitely be a welcome addition to my ever expanding herd of woolly elephantids. Thanks for sharing. Is it confirmed this is all for this year?

And thanks as well on the information regarding the sculptor, avatar_suspsy @suspsy as well. Didn't know this! That thylacoleo is absolutely beautiful, one of my favourite extinct mammal models out there. Could definitely do with a reissue.

Same sculptor.

I think the only connection with the sculptor is ATF/STS forum member Ana, who sculpted only the SR Brumbies and Mojo horses. I think Jason Smit, founder of Minizoo, sculpted most of the rest of the SR animals (but I could be wrong).

Just because Mojo didn't re-release the Thylacoleo this year, doesn't mean they won't in the future...

Faelrin

My friend told me about the Southlands Replicas thing when I talked to them last night. I am seriously hoping they would reconsider bringing back the Thylacoleo sculpt back. If not I would be glad to see a new one. As good as the SR one is, it is a shame it was for a time, the only option on the market.

I also adore that new mammoth. I wonder how big it will be. I ultimately got the Carnegie one because I wanted something close to scale to the American Mastodon from Safari Ltd. Their Smilodon from last year was really nice too. In fact I think Mojo has always been pretty good with their prehistoric and/or extinct mammals. Sorry to see this may be it for them but I'm guessing they got hit hard.

I'm not surprised at the fine quality of their Mammoth figure. We'll remember the fine Cenozoic mammals that Mojo has produced in the past, much better than their dinosaurs, typically. Hopefully there's a couple more on the way, maybe even one that doesn't get produced by other companies.

That woolly mammoth looks very promising. Indeed, it looks like the best one any of the top companies have released since Safari's version. I might have to get this one.

avatar_Takama @Takama, can you add the image to the OP?

Thats a REALLY nice looking Wooly Mammoth. I was considering the eofauna Steppe Mammoth for my collecting but since I actually prefer the Wooly above the Steppe Mammoth as a species, this makes me second guessing. Especially the shaggyness of the fur looks really good. Gonna wait until I see in-hand pictures though.

Gwangi

This might be the best wooly mammoth since the Carnegie wooly mammoth. If I didn't already have the Carnegie I would definitely get this one. I still might, but there are other extinct proboscids that I should prioritize.

Roger

Sorry for not quoting you...
B @bmathison1972 is right, only Southlands horses were sculpted by Anna, all the remaining Southlands figures were sculpted by Jason.
James Connolly, Mojö Fun CEO and Jason Smit, Southlands Replicas founder, participated for a long time on STS forum discussions, I believe something similar happened here on DTF. Also, Minizoo, Jason's online shop, sells Mojö Fun.
Formally, there was no connection between Mojö Fun and Southlands Replicas but there are always many links among these agents working in the same business area.

About the woolly mammoth, Anna mentions it as the "one" figure for prehistoric life and likely we won't have more. As mentioned here, the coelacanth is a West Indian Ocean coelacanth- Latimeria chalumnae - thus, an extant species.
Yes, this woolly mammoth looks really promising, I hope it works nicely at the same scale Eofauna is using for their superb proboscideans.
I don't know if Terry Norton is the sculptor, maybe someone more used with his sculpting style can confirm it.

Flaffy

So is this everything from Mojo? I thought they said that reveals with be spread across the entire week.

Stuckasaurus (Dino Dad Reviews)

Ooh, that mammoth is quite nice! I might actually get it as a mate for my Safari one.
