CollectA’s first 2024 reveal is their 1:3 scale take on Dearc (pronounced “jark”), a Middle Jurassic rhamphorhynchine discovered in Scotland. Named and described in 2022, it had an estimated wingspan of up to three metres and was the largest flying creature of its time.
The head appears to have been inspired by the northern gannet. This will make a great addition to anyone’s pterosaurs ranks!

The paint scheme is very interesting, with those strong lines in the face and gentle gradients on the body it really resembles a digital painting- particularly in the last photo. I wonder if that’s the intent?
Greetings from Hungary!
If it’s 1:3 scale,it means that the model’s wingspan would be 1 meter. I guess a “0” should be added, otherwise I have to make some space among my sauropods on top of my cabinets.
It’s around 15″ from snout to tail-tip according to Everything Dinosaur. So, yeah, it up there with the 1/35, 1/40 & 1/40 large sauropods.
@dinotoyblog @WryCritic Are you seeing this!?
is there anything wrong w it?
