Schleich’s 2025 prehistoric assortment will include their first ever Carcharodontosaurus. They did a fairly decent job with the head; you can immediately tell it’s the shark-toothed lizard. This is probably the best out of the four.
There’s also a new Dilophosaurus, but it frankly looks like a step down from the previous version.
Another first for Schleich is Diplodocus. The tail tip looks stumpy and the neck looks a bit short, but it’s hard to tell for sure from this angle.
And here’s Velociraptor. Apologies for the poor image quality, but given that this is a straight repaint of the 2018 toy, there’s really nothing of note to further discern. This toy is rather a disappointment if I’m being honest.
But wait, there’s more! Schleich is also releasing two new prehistoric-themed monsters for their super successful Eldrador series, just like their Shadow Raptor. Here we have the heavily armoured Stone Triceratops.
And here is the formidable Frost Mammoth. I reckon I’ll be snapping up both these beasties for my boys and myself to play with. It’s reasonable to assume that Schleich will eventually make other ones for the Jungle and Lava Worlds; my own preferences would be a Jungle Stegosaurus and a Lava Tyrannosaurus rex. Fingers crossed!

Now that you mention it, yeah. it is cooler to see a triceratops fighting a trex, but ankylosaurus also lived alongside tyrannosaurus. Also I think schleich stopped producing sea El Dorado creatures but a spinosaurus sea monster would be awesome to see, pun intended.
Eldrador! It autocorrected to El Dorado lol
An ankylosaurus would’ve worked better for the stone dinosaur
You would think, yes. But if we assume that Schleich is indeed going to do a Lava T. rex for 2026, or possibly the second half of 2025, then perhaps they decided that a Stone Triceratops would be a cooler opponent for it to fight. Although really, the coolest nemesis for any lava-themed dinosaur would be the Frost Mammoth, pun intended.
