I already have Bumpy, both the adult and baby, so I see no real need for another. I don't think added articulation would much benefit an Ankylosaurus anyway. But like you said, we don't have a JP3 Ankylosaurus and IIRC it was better looking than those in JW.

I hope the Hammond Collection will have a JP3 ankylosaurus

Honestly    If this proves true, then im done with Mattel for good.    I Did Give Up the mainline in favor of the Hammoned Collection for the sole purpose of collectiong ON SCREEN ANIMALS. And as with Nanmu Studio The correct thing to do would of been to exahst all Film species before branching out (Such as with their original Giganotosaurus and yes I know my opinoin is unpopler).

avatar_Takama @Takama I don't know where the source is for that, but I understand your feelings. It's the Hammond Collection, not "make rough dinosaurs better" collection. Still, looking forwards to a proper Irritator.
Any Giganotosauruses are friends. Any other carnivores are...I think I'll run now.

I agree Im focusing only on the on screen dinosaurs too. Im not interested in their takes of non canon appearance dinos anyway, most of them look like Chap Meis to me.

No source? Yeah, your claims sound like a bunch of baloney to me.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

avatar_CityRaptor @CityRaptor I hope it is, but previously avatar_Giganotosaurus @Giganotosaurus said it, and I am taking it as the truth unless proven otherwise. I'm sorry if I have offended you in any way.
What I was trying to express was that the Hammond Collection should focus on the dinosaurs that were shown on the big screen, not other dinosaurs that they chose to make of their own volition.

Giganotosaurus

Sorry I didn't cite the source, like RolandEden said, it's from an insider of sorts on Discord.
I personally hope we get a Hammond Quetzalcoatlus also eventually.
Mosasurus on Jurassic Mainframe and JPToys
Angurius on TohoKingdom

I love all the Jurassic movies, plus Disney's Dinosaur

Okay the new SDCC / Mattel Creations Rex is kinda cracking me up. Both because it's kind of an absurd (but obvious) way to reuse things, but also because the amount of complaining we're going to see will be off the charts... https://twitter.com/Mattel/status/1546480872664272898

What complaining do you expect to see? Not really following there sorry.

As for Gennaro, FINALLY. All we need is a JP Henry Wu and we'll have the entire main cast in figure form! However, the introduction of the Hammond Collection line is making be debate if tracking down these expensive SDCC exclusives is even worth it or not, when superior versions of them might just appear on shelves as normal releases in the future. (still waiting for a Ray Arnold wide release...)

Blade-of-the-Moon

FINALLY! lol kinda bummed the restroom isn't plastic but I guess I'll deal.

I though open shirt Ian Malcolm was this year's exclusive.

Don't have the money for Gennaro anyway. Besides, Mattel Creations probably has not fixed this tiny little problem of not shipping outside the USA despite allowing you to order outside the USA >:( and not cancelling your order and give your money back unless you contact them to ask why your order has not been shipped >:(

Gennaro seems to have the levels of articulation present on the HC humans, so this could very well be as good a figure as you're gonna get of him.

As far as complaints go, am I excited to see we're finally getting Gennaro and in his most iconic scene at that? Absolutely! Am I annoyed that Mattel is using it as leverage to push an unnecessary repaint of an expensive figure that was literally just released? Double absolutely!

Ah, just noticed that the HC rex is included in the set... Definitely annoying for those who already have the HC rex but only want Gennaro. How different even is the "rain deco" HC rex compared to its regular release?

But thankfully, I have yet to order the HC rex, so I'll definitely try to track down this set.

avatar_Carnoking @Carnoking You're correct that Gennaro seems to have the deluxe HC human joints, bonus points!
That being said, its getting hard to justify collecting the inferior mainline humans that are more often than not packed with a surplus of unnecessary repaints. (shoots up the cost)

E.g.
- Tim + EC rex repaint
- Sarah + adult JW Stego repaint
- Roland + dwarf Parasaurolophus
- Ray + worst raptor sculpt in existence (with non screen accurate paint I might add)

Carnoking

It's hard to tell given the lighting of this photo shoot but she looks maybe a little darker and perhaps the stripes are more muted. If I'm to understand the descriptions correctly, she might also have flecks of clear paint to simulate rain drops on the skin. We'll see if it turns out superior to the original in the long run, if that's the case I can see myself just selling off my HC rex for this set.

Then again, the in-box photos look dope. I suppose I could just decide to leave it in the box and have the original HC rex as my open copy.

Flaffy

Just noticed that the bathroom stall is cheap cardboard :'(

I'd gladly sacrifice the most recent waves of those lackluster small "Legacy" dinosaurs (Kosmoceratops ::) ) for some proper plastic assessories for these sets.

I felt the same when Mattel skimped out on the Kitchen set with Lex; the only assessory being... a frying pan ??? , instead of a ladle & kitchen counter.

Darko2300

avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy - Told you the complaining would start. 😂

Why they do me dirty like this? I've been wanting this set and/or Gennaro for years. Then they throw a repaint of the HC T. rex in (which appears to be based on the SWS animatronic, which is fine in itself), which should have been separate as all it is going to do is drive the cost up. Then they make the outhouse itself cardboard like the mishandled Legacy Kitchen set. What makes matters worse is yeah I just paid for the standard HC T. rex (which has had terrible distribution, something these major corporations should have better logistics for, retailers and Mattel alike) and then I need to move in a few weeks time here.

So yeah on one hand I typically feel excited because it's finally here, but on the other hand really feeling burned here too.

I have a feeling this set will be $75 minimum if not more (but then again it will be more unless it gets free shipping, which I'm doubting). By far their most expensive SDCC release.

And now I'm stuck debating if I want to contact BBTS and sacrifice the HC T. rex I just ordered from, and try to get this one and done set, assuming I even have enough to afford it depending on shipping. Timing could not be worse for me, even though SDCC is always at this time.
