Hmm, sure, why not? Here are some nominations off the top of my head...

TOOBS
  • Dinos (updated)
  • Pterosaurs
  • Tiny Dinos

As charming as the classic mini dinos are, those repurposed Authentics sculpts are really showing their age next to the current Wild Safari output. The Toob is due for an overhaul. I wouldn't mind the genera lineup remaining basically the same, except that Pteranodon would be better off replaced by an actual dinosaur - Archaeopteryx, maybe?
Now, a dedicated Toob all for pterosaurs would be neat; they're plenty remarkable to desere their own set. A Tiny Dinos toob would also be cool, as a way to cover some smaller (more obscure?) genera that could then also sorta-scale with the standard-size models.

WILD SAFARI PREHSITORIC WORLD

non-dinos (Paleozoic-Mesozoic)
  • Lystrosaurus
  • Moschops
  • Eryops
  • Placerias
  • Rutiodon
  • Nothosaurus
  • Cymbospondylus
  • Koolasuchus
  • Pterodaustro
  • Hatzegopteryx (walking)
Dinosaurs
  • Herrerasaurus
  • Plateosaurus
  • Tenontosaurus
  • Buitreraptor
  • Nothronychus
  • Torosaurus
  • Chasmosaurus
Cenozoic fauna
  • Chalichotherium
  • Short-faced Bear
  • Dire Wolf
  • Diprotodon
  • Dinornis

We've had a pretty dino-centric (and large-theropod-centric) couple of years now, so hopefully we can see some more variety in the near future again. Safari has done really nice work with their Triassic fauna, so more ancient reptiles, giant amphibians, or weird synapsids would be very welcome. I don't collect mammals as frequently, but some new Cenozoic fauna would be neat - how about some more giant flightless birds as well as the mammals?
If we do get more dinosaurs (inevitably), I would welcome a new Doug Watson ceratopsian or two - I still want an up-to-date Torosaurus that won't cost me $60-100. Another Deinonychosaur or other maniraptoran would be a treat, especially since surprisingly few companies seem to tackle those groups anymore.

...And can I just say, it feels a little weird talking about next-year predictions when this year's releases are still trying to finish?

Some of these animals are rather well known and it's a shame there's no figures of them

Halichoeres

A lot of requests for Toobs; their last prehistoric one was back in 2013. I think only the crappy ones sell, because they've discontinued most of the good ones. I dunno, I just don't think it's gonna happen.

But if it did, I would like it to be smaller animals that could scale with Prehistoric World figures.

My list will be short:

- Herrerasaurus
- Maip Macrothorax
- Gigantoraptor
- Gallimimus
- New updated Dilophosaurus

- Arthropleura
- Koolasuchus

I'm still very happy Safari gave us the Albertosaurus and the Cryolophosaurus this year, I can remove those from my most wanted list.

SpartanSquat

Some of my wishlist
- Plateosaurus
- Glacialisaurus
- Torosaurus
- Chasmosaurus
- Torvosaurus
- Lambeosaurus
- Protoceratops
- Utahraptor
- Dilophosaurus 2020
- Paraceratherium
- Deinotherium
- Gallimimus
- Kelenken
- Therizinosaurus
- Yangchuanosaurus
- Edaphosaurus

And I hope more rerelease of old models like nasuto, pachyrhino, einio, grypho

Nyrorosaurus

A few I'd be interested in seeing as Wild Safari Prehistoric World figures:
- Elaphrosaurus
- Therizinosaurus
- Lystrosaurus
- Kosmoceratops
- Dicraeosaurus
- 2020 Dilophosaurus
- Udanoceratops
- Stegouros
- Updated Guanlong

Pachyrhinosaurus

I agree, it does feel a little strange that we're speculating next year's releases before this year's have even hit shelves, but there have been years that the next year's lineup was announced in September. I'm not expecting that this time around, but hopefully things will be more normal than they were this year.

My list is longer than what Safari normally puts out each year, but it would be nice to see some of these species represented.

Dinornis or Pachyornis
Rutiodon or Redondasaurus
Basilosaurus cetoides
Bothriolepis canadensis
Hyneria or Rhizodus
Placerias
Struthiomimus
Plateosaurus
Arthropleura
Mesosaurus
Edaphosaurus
Columbian Mammoth
Koskinonodon
Diplocaulus
Pterosaur Toob

I think it would also be interesting to see a return of their prehistoric landscapes collection, perhaps with Lepidodendron or Calamites/Annularia.

Ludodactylus

I'm a simple man, with simple tastes:

Lambeosaurus
Tenontosaurus
Plateosaurus
Kentrosaurus

If I got any of these, I'd be a happy camper.
"The most popular exhibits in any natural history museum are, without doubt, the dinosaurs. These creatures' popularity grows each year, partly because of the recent resurgence of dinosaur movies, but also because a skeleton of a full-sized Tyrannosaurus rex still has the ability, even 65 million years after its death, to chill us to the bone." - Ray Harryhausen

Lynx

All I want from Safari next year is a Pinacosaurus or a non-feathered tyrannosaurus
An oversized house cat.

I like the way you think - I would be excited about any of these!

Just so you know, Koskinonodon/Buettneria are considered junior synonyms of Anaschisma browni in the latest metoposaur research. Mmmm, temnospondyl taxonomy - as complicated and pointless as progressive metal.

triceratops83

I'm really still just interested in updates of previous Carnegie and Wild Safari figures, mostly -

Maiasaura
Corythosaurus/Hypacrosaurus
Kentrosaurus
Miragaia
Leptoceratops
Plateosaurus
Arsinoitherium
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

Stuckasaurus (Dino Dad Reviews)

#13
Is it that time of year again already? Well, I have a lot of repeats on my list. Most of my most wanted figures have yet to be made.

Dinosaurs
Centrosaurus
Saurolophus
Ouranosaurus
Lambeosaurus
any large 1:35-1:40 scale sauropod, preferably not North American, though if they made an updated Apatosaurus that looked similar to the Shapeways model, I would snap that up in an instant

Land Mammals
Arsinotherium re-release
Paraceratherium
Sivatherium

Sea Life
Pygmy Right Whale (not technically prehistoric, but possibly belongs to the previously thought to be extinct cetothere family)
Basilosaurus
Helicoprion
Bonnerichthys

Toobs
Pterosaurs
Permian and/or Paleozoic
Whale Evolution
Recently Extinct (Thylacine, Passenger Pigeon, etc.)

Good Luck Minis
Feathered Velociraptor
Dunkleosteus
Dodo

I would like some more trees. I know Safari decided to retire their previous tree models, but a redwood and a bald cypress could pull double duty as modern and prehistoric plants, so maybe that would increase their ability to sell.

Lynx

Would love if Safari LTD released a Mira based loosely on the Carnegie versions colors. Was so pretty!

Also sort of want a remake of their ceratosaurus for some reason? Not that it's outdated, just could use a redo.
An oversized house cat.

Fembrogon

I'd be in favor of a retooling of their Ceratosaurus, and their Acrocanthosaurus. The base sculpts are still good, but if the body mass and certain proportions (namely the feet) were tweaked, they'd be even better models.

Concavenator

Not sure if I should post this in the Controversial Opinions Thread, but I think pretty much every Safari theropod from before 2017 would benefit from a resculpt. Doug's style has improved that much imo.

Stegotyranno420

Doug Watson has always been amazing, I don't blame the sculpting but rather the production process. The teeth and scales get more dull during the process. This was also evident in the Carnegie line

Concavenator

I mean, there's a clear difference when comparing, for example, the Suchomimus with the Baryonyx, the latter is so much better. Which isn't shocking at all, of course artists evolve and get better with time.

Halichoeres

I'll be happy if there's something from the Triassic or Paleozoic.
