Really glad to see the Utahraptor getting painted up now. Been anticipating this one since it was hinted at last year.

The Arctic dragon is also absolutely stunning. Very much want both of these.

The Dilophosaurus coloration turned out fantastic as well. Looking forward to seeing that one sculpted and painted in the future.

I like the BotM Dilophosaurus concept art!  I wonder what David's planning for the Cyberzoic Dilophosaurus's anatomy?

I'm happy to see painting has begun on the Utahraptor!  Although I intend to get the BotM version.  I wonder if we'll see package art for the Cyberzoic Utahraptor soon?

Over9K

I know I'm late to the party, but I threw together these quick comparisons between the two Allosaurus sculpts. The differences really pop out when viewed side-by-side.

avatar_Over9K @Over9K Thanks for doing that. Think I might need to get both at some point.

I've replaced the digital images of the Arctic Dragon with ones of the painted prototype, as well as added Dilophosaurus pics, thanks avatar_Eocarcharia @Eocarcharia!

Quote from: Creative Beast StudioToday for Cyberzoic Friday, we have more to show for the Antarctic Dragon of the Dark Region, Fucanglong (a.k.a. Fuzanglong), with a new illustration by Raph Lomotan, as well as a first look at the action figure design!

i haven't been following this series, as it is a fantasy series and didn't really interest me.  Are the Dilophosaurus and Utahraptor figures going to be released as realistic figures too or just fantasy figures with armour or whatever?  Cause boy, they both look great...i assume they're 1/18?

Yes, the entire line so far is 1/18. All the dinosaurs are realistic figures just like Beasts of the Mesozoic, the armor is an optional add-on and is removable. Additionally, each new dinosaur figure will have two different color schemes released: a brighter BotM version and a more muted Cyberzoic version that can be purchased with or without the armor and rider.

At least, that's the current plan as far as I'm aware.

Does anyone know if the cyberzoic and Botm colour schemes will be released at the same time? For example the Utahraptor, will both paint variants be available the same time or one further down the line?

andrewsaurus rex

wow that's great.  I found a BOTM wiki and it had a long list of dinosaurs planned, including Stegosaurus, Acrocanthosaurus.  Carnotaurus, Edmontonia, Saurapelta.....

If all that gets produced i'll be in heaven.

A @andrewsaurus, the first post of this thread has all the planned dinosaurs listed too, including images of some. :)

thanks!  I'm a devoted follower of this thread now.  :)

I would assume that both versions will be released at the same time since they're being developed at the same time.

Quote from: Creative Beast StudioToday for Cyberzoic Friday, we're taking a look at one of the main characters of the story- the leader of the Tech Knights, Argenteus!

'Genetically designed by the Technologist scientists to be their greatest warrior and protector, Argenteus is known by the people as the most noble of heroes. He protects humanity from the dangers of Gaea 2 and from the threats of the neighboring clans with his powerful Allosaurus and specialized Tech Knight team. As the face of the Technologist army, Argenteus brings hope to his citizens and serves as an inspiration for future recruits. But there have been new reports of him being seen colluding among the Dragon Clan, calling his loyalties in question. How this is possible and what it means has yet to be revealed.'

And just a heads-up- I'll be taking a short break from social media next week, but otherwise everything is business as usual. Have a great weekend?

Cyberzoic Utahraptor! Looking absolutely amazing. Definitely will be picking this one up.

Faelrin

What a beauty. The harpy eagle coloration does it justice, and really works with the morphology I think. While it was my personal second pick after the Philippine eagle for this one, I think this was ultimately the right choice. It'll also stand out quite a bit from the previous dromaeosaurids done.

Kind of getting Saurian Dakotaraptor vibes as well, even though its colors were based on the osprey. But well Jake also sculpted the Dakotaraptor if I recall right, so I'm sure there's something in the sculpt too that's giving me that familiar look. Honestly can't wait to pick this up, and also that 1/18 Velociraptor I'm behind on (early next year for sure though), and hopefully Deinonychus someday as well.

No two ways about it, that is an absolute stunner. Looking forward to seeing the BotM variant although I have a feeling I will be hard pressed to choose a winner between the two
