avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin FYI, I asked Victoria on her opinions on the Kaiyodo Zuul. She gives the Arbour seal of approval.

Thanks for the heads up, added to OP.

I like this Zuul more than Safari's version. The paint looks like it's shaping up to be more precise and intricate than the Safari figure.

Faelrin

Thanks for sharing that. Good to know she approves of it. I'm still very glad we have two options for this animal after all this time either way, and in two different scale options (with similar colorations).

Thanks, Flaffy.

Taking orders now--for the painted set, individuals, or the complete boxed jade-finished set.

It will likely be first come, first serve to some extent--and in one day we already have requests from 20+ people, but I don't expect a problem. I'll update if we learn more.

Please PM if interested.

Thanks.
Brett

Must be cool for Arbour to see two versions come out in quick succession! Glad she's pleased. It's a very nice figure; if it were 40% bigger I'd be snapping it up.

suspsy

That's a pretty good looking T. rex!

Yeah, that does look nice; and it appears to be mildly articulated? As oversaturated with T. rexes as the market is, the notion of more scientific articulated dinosaurs on the market is an exciting one.

I do think the box packaging looks excessive. I wonder how much it will cost.

Blade-of-the-Moon

That Rex figure reminds me of the Sofubi one..maybe just a new version?

Kei

I do like the looks on both the Zuul & Gorgosaurus Skeletons  8)

It definitely looks like the same format, but it's a different sculptor. The Sofubi version was sculpted by Shinzen.

Seems like the Kaiyodo Maip is based on its appearance in the upcoming NHK documentary.

SenSx

Did not know about that documentary.

It's great if it gives Maip a bit of exposure, maybe bigger brands like PNSO or Safari will make a figure of it.

In the meantime, I'm getting the Kaiyodo  ;D

Flaffy

Seems like there will be plushies for Zuul and Maip as well.

:0 Is there more Info on the new Documentary? I watched their last one in 2019 and it was sometimes realy great and sometimes a bit flashy. But good overall. Would love to see or read more about it.
