Kickstarter coming soon (edit: February 2023):

Thought there was a thread for this already, but search didn't turn up anything.

Anyways this is that prehistoric Cenozoic Miocene documentary that's been making the rounds a bit ago that Digital Duck has been working on. Nigel Marvin will be narrating, and some of the animals it will focus on include Daeodon, and Moropus. Here's the teaser:

Here's the opening scene:

Edit: Kickstarter is live now. Please see my Beasts of the Mesozoic Tyrannosaur series thread for information on how kickstarters work, if one is new to this.

This looks so good. The more extinct Cenozoic fauna the better!

Good news, especially in view of the absence of Cenozoic mammals so far revealed for 2023. Hope that they're not too, too expensive.

At the $175 level, they'll send you a 3D print of any animal featured in the documentary. Gotta say, I am sorely tempted by that Syndyoceras.

The doc looks absolutely fantastic. This is one of my favorite times and places in prehistory, and it's wonderful to see it getting some love. Hopefully the Kickstarter is successful.

Check out my customs thread!

Faelrin

I just backed. Went with the $10 level to be safe, but if I can drop down more when it gets close to ending in late March I will.

This looks great.
I may be wrong, but I always thought, Calicotheres walked on their knuckles.

Only Chalicotheriinae developed knuckle-walking. Schizotheriines like Moropus were less derived in morphology.

Same here. Really wish the $70 tier offered animals other than Daeodon and Moropus, as I already have Safari and CollectA figures of those two genera respectively.  Would've jumped at a $70 Syndyoceras in a heartbeat.

Will be going for the $7 tier then most likely. Lovely project, worth supporting!

Thanks for the clarification.

Fembrogon

I'll try pledging sometime this week or next. I certainly would like to see this documentary succeed, and those are some very reasonably-priced rewards.

TaranUlas

I pledged for the 175 dollar pledge. I'm debating between Syndyoceras and Menoceras since both of those look amazing and I suspect no company is going to make one of them anytime soon.

Also there's a limited number of those so if you're on the fence for the 3d printed statue, well I'd recommend deciding sooner than later.

BlueKrono

I went in for the $70 pledge. What's cooler than a hell pig?

Have they said whether the printed resin models will be painted or not?
