Even though I'm still not a fan of the sculpt as it wasn't film accurate (which was also mostly scientifically accurate), I do like how it looks with these macaw colors. Almost like something BotM would do.

It is a neat repaint.

Noticed some in box pics of some of the Wave 2 stuff has popped up on JPToys. Figured I may as well share these:

They also have listed four new species in the Danger Pack assortment, but note they are unconfirmed atm (edit: Collect Jurassic also has them on their 2023 checklist):

Dakosaurus
Borealopelta
Rugops Primus
Ornithocheirus

I'd be curious to how these turn out (minus the Rugops which came out last year), if they turn out to be real. I would hope the Borealopelta has a similar coloration to the original Sauropelta, or something like the real animal had.

New Nigersaurus pic up on JPToys. very low quality, but it looks cool.

Disappointed in the yellow-become-green on Irritator, but Orkoraptor and Bistae are must buys for me.

Nigersaurus intrigues me, but that's a teensy teensy image... hope it's good, and cute!

Faelrin

The Nigersaurus doesn't look too bad at all. Adorable even. The green camo coloration isn't what I would have thought on it, but I don't think it looks bad either. Almost reminds me of the JPOG Camarasaurus in a way. And I see it is continuing the theme of different colored arms from the body that most in the mainline this year have going on.

Not too keen on the Nigersaurus, they should have kept the darker green as the main color on the neck and the lighter as the pattern.

Irritator looks better than the first promotional images.

These are all looking pretty good! Glad to see Nedry does come with his Barbosol can, and Hammond with his ice cream  ;D

As far as the dinosaurs got infant stegosaurus is fine, still think the Legacy offering's got it on the ropes in terms of screen accuracy.

Juvenile rex is great! Really excited for this one.

For whatever reason, the Corythosaurus' cheeks don't look quite as puffy. Still there, but not as glaringly awful. I don't know, could just be the photos.

Metriacanthosaurus still has a baffling color scheme even if it's pretty good in its own right!

I'd like to see the Nigersaurus out of its package. Not sure how I feel about those droopy lips/cheeks, but hopefully better pics will make it look better. Proportions wise it suffers the same fate as the Ampelosaurus. Neck's too short, head's far too big, hopefully the tail isn't disappointingly dimmunitive but I'm not holding my breath. Would've liked to see them take more inspiration from JWE's design.

Hammond Collection stuff looks mostly nice besides the juvenile Stegosaurus.

Still really wish the Metriacanthosaurus had it's JW website colours. Doesn't help that people like Collect Jurassic are dismissing the very valid criticisms of its colour scheme. Is wanting a more cannon design really that much to ask for?

Really liking the juvenile Rex so far. After a string of just passable to downright disappointing small dinosaur releases from the Hammond Collection, it's nice to see something truly good for once, even if the shade of green isn't quite right.

Corythosaurus still suffers from chimpmunk cheeks it seems :-\ , but not nearly to the same extent as the Parasaurolophus though.

SpartanSquat

The nigersaurus looks too off for me. The head its too diplodocid and not vaccum cleaner shape head. And the color looks like its living in shrek swamp.

Faelrin

At least the Corythosaurus didn't eat a hive of bees like the Parasaurolophus did. Might have had a few though, lol.

Guess the Stegosaurus head isn't as big as I was thinking it was. I mean it looks proportionally better in the side profile pic at least. Much better when the mouth is closed too.

Still unfortunate the baby T. rex's coloration isn't quite accurate, but at least the sculpt is looking really good. Definitely much better then both the Legacy and AC versions. I think this is the first time it's gotten the muzzle and cast since the Kenner figure too.

Really glad they gave Nedry a new can accessory that can open. It's a step above the SDCC one. I also like that Hammond comes with the ice cream lol. It's such a random thing from the film to include, but I like it.

Not my cup of tea. But I guess they will be good toys and so generate a new generation of dino-fans.

BoneHead98

This might be the best Hammond Collection stuff so far. I'm wildly impressed.

Metricanthosaurus is def going to have to be a pick up (though color scheme is odd....though I like the theory I saw floating on Twitter this is their take on the JP animal vs the JW website "variant") as well as my beloved Corythosaurus and that shockingly accurate baby Rex.

PrimevalRaptor

Man that Metriacanthosaurus and Corythosaurus look amazing, hope they make it over here.
Ornithocheirus as a danger pack would be cool but I am hoping most for the Dakosaurus, Mattel's marine reptiles are usually some of their best stuff (even if often still quite stylized) and more metriorhynchids are always very welcome (even if we barely get any apart from Dakosaurus/Plesiosuchus)

Corytho is great, Mattel listened when people complained about the Para´s cheeks. Nedry tempts me just because of the Barbasol can, and the baby T.rex is also really tempting...But for each HC figure I want, the shipping and taxes will increase...help :'(

Not a single good angle of the baby Stegosaurus, even with its mouth closed the mouth line is very distracting, seriously why they didn't make it like the Para, Andy or Pachy, this cheekless one is wrong!

Also, here is a (horrible) GIMP image edit of the Metriacanthosaurus to show how it should have been painted. I tried to simplify the pattern as much as I could since Mattel is already skimping on paint in the Hammond Collection.
