hi y'all! i just moved into my college dorm for the new year and this time around i decided to bring a significant portion of my collection along with me. i've held off on taking any pictures before because the room i keep them in back home is dimly lit and they always come out fuzzy, but now that i have good lighting i wanted to show off a bit!

this represents somewhere between 50 and 60 percent of my collection, and nearly all of my favorite and/or rarest figures, with a couple exceptions that i felt anxious about traveling with. i especially like how the ornithischian shelf turned out with how i color-coordinated it.

let me know what y'all think and if you have any specific figures you'd like to see more pictures of, either individually or together!

That's a splendid display with lovely diversity! I spy a lot of great figures in there, from Classic Carnegies and beloved Bullylands, to newer and more uncommon stuff like Favorites, Kaiyodos, and the latest Safaris/Collectas.

What brand is the ground sloth on the bottom front? I don't recall if I've seen that design before.

it's an old schleich figure! it was apparently retired in 2010 but i picked it up in a museum gift shop about 5 years afterward. it seems to be pretty difficult to find nowadays so i'm glad i did!

Schleich had a small, short-lived collection of Cenozoic mammals: the Megatherium, a Smilodon, a Wooly Mammoth , a cave bear, a Glyptodon, and a very nice Macrauchenia, as I recollect. The last terminated the line and it was never resumed. The Megatherium fits in at  roughly 1/40 scale with the somewhat more refined Wild Safari one, BTW.

A wonderful collection! I'd say the non-dinosaur shelf is the graphic definition of heterogeneity.  ;D

I'm always struck by how gorgeous those Play Vision amphibians are. A fine collection indeed.

That's a fantastic collection! Nice you're able to take that part of home with you off to school. I notice you already have the Safari Utahraptor. I haven't bought it yet because I'm waiting for the Estemmenosuchus to be available, but it's taking foreeeeever.

I was waiting for the Estemmenosuchus to place my Safari order, but then they announced the Stegouros, so I guess now I'm waiting for that ;D And their new elk, too. I have so many of those "Email me when this is in stock" emails coming.
Check out my customs thread!

Great display.
It is nice you now have a little corner to spend time away from studies.

i moved into my dorm for my senior year of college today, and i thought i would stop by this thread to show off this year's iteration of my display! some things have stayed the same and some have changed dramatically, and comparing it to the picture from a year ago demonstrates how my collection has evolved in the time since.

time alone can tell what my living space will look like at this time next year - maybe i'll be able to show my whole collection at once then. but for now, this will do as an assortment of the highest quality figures i own.

Concavenator

Impressive collection there! And the PNSO Sinosauropteryx looks a lot better with that repaint.

Fenestra

Very nice and harmonious looking display. It's a pleasure to look at.

Great setup! I hope when you look up from your studies it makes you smile.
