I love the red accents on the green version...I also like the green version because it reminds me of the old Safari Ltd. "Dinosaurs of China" Mamenchisaurus.

And yet more pictures of the Mamenchisaurus.

I don't know if it's the final paint application that makes the figures look, I don't know maybe a little plasticy? when I first saw the unpainted Euoplocephalus I was hype, but seeing these images I can't help but feel kinda just, eh... I realize how negative I'm sounding and I will say this Euoplocephalus is tempting me and I feel is still showing that they are improving but I feel very similar to this figure as I do the mamenchisaurus. I remember seeing the mold and even the painted prototype and falling in love with it but after seeing the official variants they have for release I am a little disappointed. I'll still be making the mamenchisaurus my first haolonggood figure I think, and maybe in person my worries on the paint apps will go away but I don't know. Ultimately I keep comparing the finishes to PNSO which seems to somehow have the color baked in to the figure mean while halloonggoods figures seem to be figures that are painted over. don't know if im making much sense lol

Overexposed lightbox images of the figures more often than not present them in an unflattering light. Pretty much all of Haolonggood's "in nature" shots with natural lighting makes the figure look nicer compared to the harsh studio lighting for their Amazon listings. Subsequent in-hand pics and video reviews also gives a more accurate view of how the final product actually looks.

Just following in the foot steps of CollectA and Safari in having horrendous lightbox pics I suppose :)) I'm sure the final figure will look better than you're imagining.

Certainly Haolonggood's pics with the white backgrounds are not particularly flattering, but IMO at the end of the day, what matters is how the figures look in real life.

Owning some Haolonggood figures I can confidently claim they're among (if not the) best painted figures in my collection (and I own PNSO figures too).

Carnoking

The green one was easily my least favorite of the trio when the first images surfaced but it looks fantastic in natural lighting!

Where was it mentioned? Sounds like an old quote or a misuse.

Shipping is much more reasonable than the Alamosaurus...but my guess is that they are building part of the shipping cost into the price of the model

The thing with shipping cost is tricky. First, cheaper shipping always means slower and less reliable shipping. So if you want fast EMS shipping this will always be expensive. Second, shipping costs of parcels typically increase in steps, particularly for fast air shipping. So once you exceed a certain category limit (in terms of either weight or size of the package or both) costs can significantly increase. Having this said, I believe that reasonable stores like Lana will charge you the actual shipping costs.

The price of the Alamosaurus was in my view surprisingly moderate, if we for example compare it with the price of the Apatosaurus which was even higher. I think that Halonggood was testing the waters with the Alamosaurus. They took quite a risk with producing such a large sauropod model in large quantities and this is why I think they sold it at a rather low price, in order to encourage people to purchase it. They had plans to produce more large sauropod models but they did not know how the market would react. Now this experiment was very successful and they can now charge a more realistic price for the Mamenchisaurus. They know now that many dinosaur enthusiasts are ready to buy such a large model and they know that Mamenchisaurus in 1:35 scale will sell like hot cakes in China.

Am I going to have to worry about this thing not being available on the amazon store after a while or do haolonggood figures stay available for a long time.

Bread

That blue is certainly striking. Might be my first pickup in a while.

Lana Time Shop has already uploaded the Mamenchisaurus buying info. Each one will be $64.99 USD with standard shipping $43 USD
and Sea Shipping $25 USD. Roughly the same as Er-ma. I will get blue one, but for my country I can't choose sea shipping yet.  :'(

My suggestion would be to buy directly from Lana Time Shop through their website. The Jurassic Zoo Store on Aliexpress and Amazon is actually the outlet of Lana Time Shop on these platforms. But the offers there are always more expensive than buying directly from Lana website.

Just ordered the brown one from Lana Time Shop. 65 USD plus 33 USD for shipping to Europe. This is an absolute bargain for such a huge beast. They could have easily charged 95 USD plus shipping and this would still sell like hot cakes.

I did air shipping instead of Sea and it was 45.00 maybe 20.00 more? Not a lot. I'll skip a pizza or something lol

thomasw100

From this one can start estimating prices for the other sauropods (if they make them all). Camarasaurus will then be around 60 USD, Brachiosaurus around 90 USD and Argentinosaurus 110 USD.

But that price must be without VAT.
