                                                     No.01 Zuul crurivastator   &   No.04 Maip macrothorax

Last year was the first time I decided not to get a Kaiyodo Expo set as soon as it was available. Maybe it's because meanwhile I have a lot of Kaiyodo
miniatures, maybe I got tired of all the T.rex figures in each of these sets, maybe because of other priotities. Zuul & Maip though were new species
to the Kaiyodo world and I've been waiting for a good opportunity, which turned up about 2 weeks ago when avatar_Concavenator @Concavenator offered
his Zuul for trading. Thanks again! I knew it would pay off to keep my Expo 2016 & 2019 doubles for such moments.
After I got the Zuul I had to order the Maip immediately afterwards.

Glad to see the Zuul in its new home!  ;)

Also, wow, you sure got yourself the Maip quick as well! Where did you get it from, if I may ask?

DefinitelyNOTDilo

Gorgeous images! I have to ask, where did you get the base in that lufeng pic?

I got it from eBay seller kobe one. Not a seller I often use because usually too expensive, but it was the best offer and he had two other figures I wanted.
I was pretty stunned when the package had arrived after just 5 days from Japan to Germany :o .

That's HAOLONGGOOD's base for their Alamosaurus with two Safari trees in the background.

SidB

I must say that those venerable Safari trees have gotten a huge amount of diorama time and mileage behind them. Sure would be good to get some new ones from them.

One final question, where did you find that person taking a selfie? It seems very useful to have for comparisons.

DefinitelyNOTDilo

To clarify, it wasn't present in any recent pictures, but I'm referring to the one in the chasmosaurus pic and others

 She's from Kaiyodo's 1:35 Artpla series, set No.04 - the Elephant set.

If you like them so much - you know you can have them in TWO versions ...

Thank you for the reference!

And only 5 days from Japan to Germany is pretty insane indeed.

Its colors look better in your pics than in other photos I've seen online.

ceratopsian

The black backgrounds bring out the animal's richness of colour. I especially enjoyed the third from last, the close up of him walking towards us: real character in that little face.

SidB

It's hilarious - I ordered the gray- based HLG one, and yet now that I see this image, I like the orange-base version!. May have to get it too.

I think it is a fact of life S @SidB that whatever postsaurischian photographs will always look eminently desirable!

That may prove expensive for me!

Everything visible lies in the eye of the beholder. Individual photographs are a good example to prove this thesis.
Of course the figure in my pictures looks the way I see it ... at a fixed rate ;) .

My personal favourite of the pictures I took :) .

:-[  :D  You're too kind, Elizabeth! I like the positive aura you're bringing to this forum. A nice motivation to keep this thread going.

You're right. It is an expensive hobby, but please note that my collection has been growing for almost 50 years.
(Not having a car and not driving sure helps, too ;D .)
