avatar_Saarlooswolfhound @Saarlooswolfhound Thanks for the correction. I got the Jurassic World Dominion ones back in 2022 and forgot that's how they were done. So not bags per se, but the contents were still kept separated.

Edit: avatar_SBell @SBell I'm in the US. They are done the way Saarlooswolfhound mentioned.

Though I'm happy to see new prehistoric Yowies figures, I agree these releases are less than underwhelming, despite the few unusual species thrown in. Atopodentatus seems like the stand-out of the bunch.

What is up with the texts accompanying these figures? Most of them are beyond silly...

Yeah, they really phoned it in compared to their extant figures.

To clarify, the reused Simba molds aren't part of Yowie's main line. This is the first numbered series to feature prehistorics, and as far as I can tell they're all original molds, although some are pretty generic. But yeah, the paint scheme on the Kosmoceratops looks to be derivative.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Yowie posted a rarity chart for the various figures in the series: https://yowieworld.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Yowie-Ultimate-Dinosaurs-A3-Poster.pdf

common
Amargasaurus
Ankylosaurus
Atopodentatus
Cryptoclidus
Iguanodon
Lambeosaurus
"pterodactyl" (Pteranodon)
Spinosaurus
Stegosaurus
Titanosaurus
Triceratops
Tyrannosaurus

popular (i.e., chaff, filler)
Ditty (Yowie character)
Rumble (Yowie character)

rare
Kosmoceratops

epic
Suzhousaurus

mythic (1 in 100 eggs)
Oviraptor

The Oviraptor isn't as rare as the baby giraffe from the last series, but still pretty scarce. Luckily it's one of the uglier figures, so I won't be sad if I never see one.

Ok so the two I really want are common. Though, sad about the Therizinosaur. I hate blind boxes with a burning passion.

Blind boxes are one of the most cynical marketing strategies in existence, especially when there are chase figures. Years ago I wrote about the math behind them. https://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=3810

I too despise blind figures. Borders on the line of gambling. Thankfully the Atopodentatus is a common figure. I'll try tracking it down on second hand markets.

Primeval12

I hate blind bags sooo much.I may go second hand market for the ones I want.  I've been getting the baby animal Yowie figures because I enjoy the chocolate quite a bit. Some of the animals are adorable, but I don't really collect modern animals. Thus they are getting traded for a CollectA Koolasuchus :D

avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy Not sure if you are interested in this listing due to the cost, but it is being sold (along with the T. rex):

If they're anything like the other recent Yowie figures, yes. No assembly like the ones from 20 years ago.

Thank you! The Atopodentatus has my interest.

Found a singular egg at Walmart. I grabbed it not even knowing if it was the dinosaur series. When I popped it open, it was the Atopodentatus! I was so happy! It's a neat little figure and I might like it more than the PNSO mini. The color scheme is AMAZING and the torso is a better length.

DinoFan2010

I got two of them at walmart a few days ago. I got the Pteranodon (which, yes, uses the papo mold with new feet) and the Iguanodon, which is actually really nice!
