Gwangi

The one from the 1970's is the best of that trio.

Quote from: Halichoeres on February 01, 2024, 02:36:12 PMIt's striking how alive the Invicta Dippy looks, even next to its much newer counterparts.

Yes, that is interesting, isn't it? But I have to admit like the Patagotitan, too. The colors and the silly eye painting don't do the sculpt justice.

Ugly, yet charming: Schleich 1993 Ceratosaurus and White Post Moschops ^-^

And that Liliensternus... we share a sad story. I'll put those bullyland's in my list for 2024.
Hope to see more of your collection.

Well, avatar_Megalosaurus @Megalosaurus  , sorry for the belated answer ;D , but yes, my Sarracenia have been striving and thriving on my outdoor balcony for almost 15 years now. They are hardy and really easy to cultivate, as long es they get enough waterlogging. Many leaves do die off in winter which I remove in spring. Every now and then I divide some rhizomes and open a new branch in a new pot, and that´s basically it.

Smart trio!  The white dorsal stripe is very fetching. Perhaps a seasonal variant on the Three Kings!

By the way, it´s Starlux and Kaiyodo of course.  The third belonged to a green Dimetrodon kit, on whose stylized rock base it crawled around. Forgot the company.

Crackington

Is it the Revell re-issue of the Diplocaulus from the Aurora Sailback Reptile kit? Or possibly Monogram? I have this little fellow too...

Yes, it was Revell, I remember now. Thank you! ^-^

I like that the Aurora one has scales on it!

...while being an "amphibian", right, avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres ?
And isn´t "amphibian" an obsolete scientific description, because it´s  polyphyletic? Or did I get something wrong?

Yeah, lepospondyls were scaly. And you're right that amphibian is a useful ecological descriptor but tells you little about the animal's lineage!

I think it's more a case of the other ones being so small.

I was under the impression that the Invictas were made to be more or less in scale with each other. My Dimetrodon is quite diminutive. I was thinking if this Troodon was similar the others would have to be nigh microscopic.
