I don't think about Saurornitholestes as much as other eudromaeosaurs, but if I had to pick a favorite, it'd probably be Sharpe's:

Here's another contender for my favorite Saurornitholestes ( https://www.artstation.com/artwork/lRyaya ):

Here's my favorite Zhenyuanlong artwork ( http://www.pnso.org/?p=1498 ). AFAIK, it's 1 of the few good reconstructions of RPR in the context of a large prey pack hunt. For those who don't know, the ornithopods are Bolong ( https://www.instagram.com/p/C7YJPU9Jinx/ ):

That reminds me, I previously mentioned Bonadonna's "Paleocreatures of the Black Lagoo[n]" in reference to Baryonyx, but it's also my favorite Iguanodon artwork: https://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=10177.msg370884#msg370884

Quote from: DinoFan2010 on April 26, 2024, 01:02:57 PMMark Witton's Spinosaurus:

I like Witton's Spino too, but Bonodonna's are my favorites (2014: https://novataxa.blogspot.com/2014/09/spinosaurus.html ) (2020: https://novataxa.blogspot.com/2020/04/spinosaurus.html ) (2022: https://novataxa.blogspot.com/2022/03/spinosaurus.html ), especially the following:

Quote from: HD-man on September 25, 2023, 10:01:01 PMAs mentioned in my DA review ( https://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=2210.msg314733#msg314733 ), "the Ornitholestes life reconstructions are my favorites in both" Norell's The World of Dinosaurs: An Illustrated Tour (PNSO's above) & Gaffney's Dinosaurs: A Fully Illustrated, Authoritative and Easy-to-Use Guide (Dawson's below).

It's been a while since I last read Bakker's The Dinosaur Heresies, so I forgot how much I like his art style in general & his Ornitholestes in particular (I think it's the raptor-like brows):

I also really like Steve Kirk's Ornitholestes, especially the cat-like spots. I've liked seeing said spots on small theropods since Lambert's DK Guide to Dinosaurs ( https://archive.ph/4o5bX ), but I think they're especially fitting on Ornitholestes:

On a related note, I just found out about Bujard's 2021 Ornitholestes ( https://paleopetshop.com/2021/10/15/fossil-friday-ornitholestes/ ), which I like MUCH better than her 2020 Ornitholestes, I think b/c the eyes are less overly cutesy & the colors have more pop:

Quote from: HD-man on March 14, 2024, 07:49:18 AMW/so many cool new Dilo artworks since 2020, it's hard for me to pick favorites. That said, I really like Brian Engh's & Chase Stone's.

Another 1 of my favorite post-2020 Dilophosaurus is Nicholls's, which I mention in my Time review ( https://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=2210.msg382670#msg382670 ):

I've never read Heresies before but a friend of mine inherited a cache of books and thought of me when he saw that one. He decided to send it to me last week, and it's winging its way to me as we speak. Now I'm even more looking forward to reading it.

I like Steve Kirk's Ornitholestes too, and his Oviraptor among others. I need to reacquire Dougal Dixon's books. Loved them as a kid, it would be fun to look through them again.

Me too, especially as it appears in Lessem's Dinosaur Worlds ( https://chasmosaurs.blogspot.com/2013/12/vintageish-dinosaur-art-dinosaur-worlds.html ), which I reviewed ( https://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=2210.msg71525#msg71525 ):

This is the one I like. It has an eerie feeling to it. Love the lighting, it looks like someone caught it in the act even though no one would have been there to do so.

I like it so much that I used it as inspiration for my diorama contest entry in 2018.

H @HD-man Keillor's Tiktaalik is fairly iconic. Interesting you were able to meet it IRL!

It's good to see CoolioArt's "Jurassic Park With Scientifically Accurate Raptors" finally animated. Also good to know there's more where that came from:
