I really like Eofauna's interpretation of the Ankylosaurus. I feel like they got the proportions right, especially the tail and the roundness. Might be my favourite Ankylosaurus thus far!

I wonder why Eofauna's Ankylosaurus has such a long and thin tail?  It doesn't look accurate to me, nor like it would fulfil its purpose.  For comparison, Getawaytrike's Ankyloasurus skeletal below.

Also, the tail club knob of Ankylosaurus has two smaller osteoderms at the tip, not one like in the Eofauna figure.

If that skeletal is correct, you are probably right, Sim: the tail seems to be two "segments" too long. But I am not an expert in Ankylosaurs, not by any means.

But this reconstruction by Fadeno (I've found it on deviantart) seems to show a longer tail, closer to Eofauna's reconstruction:

To my knowledge Lancian's skeletal is the best atm, which seems to show a similarly long tail.

That restoration has been updated by the same author, with a longer tail.

All 3 new Eofauna's are already up for Pre-order on Lanatime shop. Shipping estimated around Dec. 20th. Was honestly surprised to see these this early. Does anyone know if Lana has the best prices for Eofauna? I normally order from Everything Dinosaur.

Yeah, that is...really early for Eofauna. Dan's Dinosaurs is saying that the new figures won't arrive until Q2 of 2025. That's April. Lana's timeline seems incredibly optimistic.
Check out my customs thread!

I messaged Everything Dinosaur and they told me they should be getting them Late Feb-early March. So yeah Lana's seem very early. I will most likely be ordering from Everything Dinosaur since their prices seem the best in regards to Eofauna.

The same thing happened with the Eofauna Tyrannosaurus. The models are made in China, so Asian sellers appear to get them fresh out of the factory. It takes several months for the bulk
of the product to be shipped to American and European vendors.

So yeah, if you have to have one of these models early, Lana or Aliexpress is the way to go.

I just ordered the Ankylo from the USA and the shipping was free! Not sure if that is how Lana always does it, but I was pleasantly surprised!

First in hand pictures of the three Eofauna releases on Paloefiguras. I will only repost a few of Ankylosaurus:

Looks great, my favorite Ankylosaurus figure. Just not a genus I'm interested in, so it's a skip on my end.

All told, I think I still prefer PNSO's BUT Eofauna's is still a fine addition!

Not sure if it's the lighting but it's looking a lot more vibrant in these new photos, not that that's a bad thing

Whew! That's a beauty! Best Ankylosaurus figure out there.

Let me tell you of the days of high adventure!

The white markings look a bit artificial, but that's about the only nitpick I have with the Anky. The rest of it looks gorgeous.

For the mastodon and mammoth, I wish they were more different in their colouration. Some darker and lighter shading here and there would've done wonders.
