A new set from Yell set with a rather interesting dunkleosteus

Totoro

Why am I so drawn to these derpy Animal Heavenly Body figures?  Am I the only one?  Does anyone here collect them, and if so, what is the quality like?

I have the sea animals and I can confirm they're really high quality. There expensive unfortunately but they've released proportionate sea animals in 2023

It's weird because I'm not normally the sentimental type.  But I am drawn to them too, avatar_Totoro @Totoro.  I have a couple of the dinosaurs, and yes, they're good quality and well finished.  But they are really expensive for what they are!

You're not alone. I gave in and have been ordering some of them and TBH I love them. The quality is high, looks just like in the photos. Which is good, because they're a bit pricey.

OK, y'all convinced me to try one.  I had a wad of discount codes from Lana Time from some extra shipping on a whopper model I bought from them so I decided to use one of those codes to buy an AHB for a couple bucks.  Unfortunately, LT doesn't have much selection of those figures right now, but I found a beetle I liked a lot and bought it.  Thx for the feedback.  ;)

I have a couple of their earlier releases, here are in-hand photos:

They are pretty well made, although expensive as others have noted.

This one appears to be new, I hadn't heard of it before now:

I'd surely buy it if I didn't already have PNSO's. Glad to see they're continuing with Triassic aquatic animals, at any rate!

A new line called Prehistoric Park by Boundless World. First figure in the series is this stylized Yutyrannus:

PVC figure on a resin base.

Not too shabby! The color scheme reminds me of the old AAA Gallimimus, although this is clearly a better design.

There's a typo on the website haha. I guess the word Tyrannomimus does look a lot like Tyrannosaurus.

Also don't we have a takara tomy thread?

Faelrin

Appears there isn't one for this year, so I've made one. While on the subject, there's also a new Archaeopteryx, that reminds me of vintage paleoart due to the colors used.

Is that a giant steak that the Tyrannosaurus is cradling? By extrapolatiom from that, the trike's leaves, and the mosasaur's shark, I can only infer that the Pteranodon is planning to eat that egg.

I think it has to be a steak!  The Pteranodon is a hoot - as you say, it has to be cuddling its food.

Paleofiguras posted that the Boundless World Studio (original Studio Saiyu Dachan) will produce now a Tarbosaurus PVC figure that should come out in May and then later a Shantungosaurus figure.

Sim

Where did you see that they will be made of PVC?  I saw that they will be in 1:35 scale though.

This detail was not exactly in that post by Paleofiguras. But the first figure that was released by this studio, a Yutyrannus, is a PVC figure as well (see description on website of Lana Time Shop). And I recall that when this was announced it was mentioned that future releases would also be PVC figures.

Halichoeres

The Yutyrannus was quite cartoony, but the Tarbosaurus and Shantungosaurus are supposed to be more realistic, right? Maybe they merit a dedicated thread.

Tarbosaurus... In addition to avatar_Sim @Sim , I guess you might find this interesting avatar_thebermuda303 @thebermuda303 avatar_Elengassen @Elengassen avatar_Protopatch @CharlieNovember

And man do I hope they release a realistic version of the Yutyrannus...
