Well it's good to get confirmation that they are continuing onward.

I hope PNSO continues the trend of making a diverse range of species as in 2024.  I really hope they avoid making the two new horned carcharodontosaurids anytime soon, even though I'll be very surprised if they do.  PNSO has made so many carcharodontosaurids and these two don't look much different to the rest.  I'm still waiting for PNSO to make a standard-sized dromaeosaurid. :-\  But they'll probably make those two carcharodontosaurids instead and make them look great with striking colourations and give them lips.  All their lipped theropods have been allosauroids...  And I just see more of that unfortunately.  I at least hope they'll make more megalosauroids, I enjoy those.

Edit: I remember now Ichthyovenator is basically confirmed, and it's a megalosauroid I don't enjoy.  And I would be (very) happy to have a figure of the carcharodontosaurid Neovenator from PNSO.  It almost seems like I'm contradicting what I wrote previously!

I'm glad PNSO have confirmed that they're going to continue releasing figures. More so for the peace of mind of all the people who've been super worried about them. I personally never doubted they'd return sooner or later.

If it weren't for all the fuss kicked up on these forums, I'm not sure if I'd even have noticed they took a signifigant break. Everything Dinosaur doesn't even have the Lokiceratops in yet so from my perspective; I'm still eagerly anticipating an upcoming release! XD

Concavenator

Do you guys think they'll be eventually making a Dilophosaurus or a Sinosaurus?

I love the BotM Dilophosaurus, but for the time being, I'd rather not get it, because I know I'd replace it by a Dilophosaurus or a Sinosaurus by PNSO, owing to the latter's smaller scale.

It would seem strange they haven't made either of them by now, which has me thinking they might have dismissed them for size reasons?

This is also why I don't see them making any dromaeosaurid, unfortunately.

Turkeysaurus

They did Nanotyrannus so i don't think size would be the problem.

Concavenator

avatar_Turkeysaurus @Turkeysaurus You're right! They also made Pachycephalosaurus and Megalosaurus. But the so-called Nanotyrannus and Pachycephalosaurus were released in 2021. The PNSO from 2021 is not the current PNSO, as they also released some non-dinosaurs I don't think they would release now in case they hadn't before. Well, ideally if they made Megalosaurus they will also make Dilophosaurus, or at least, Sinosaurus.

Dilophosaurus is such an icon it'd be very disappointing if they dismissed it owing to its size. And as you said, it should still be feasible size-wise. I think I'll be holding off on the BotM Dilo, at least for a little longer.

I'd like to see them making a Utahraptor or Austroraptor too, that they haven't made any eudromaeosaurian yet feels so wrong (same goes to HLG).

Quote from: Quiversaurus on January 23, 2025, 10:00:38 AMThank you! In that case I might grab one soon... I was holding out on them doing a lipped revamp of their A. jimmadseni...

If it helps and in case you didn't know, there will be a 1:35 Allosaurus jimmadseni figure by Creative Beast Studio, which I think will be released later this year:

As usual with their figures though, it'll be articulated, so that's worth taking into account if you prefer static figures (which I think you do, considering your collection's figures).

I don't know where to post, but for all lovers of PNSO scientific restoration, here's the good news: a new Chinese paleontological model studio is about to launch these two soon...... It could be the Zhuchengtyrannus and the Shantungosaurus(guess)

At the same time, this half month has also seen everyone's strong expectations for the scientific restoration of the 35 ratio, so our team decided to open a new product line: Prehistoric Park-Scientific and Art Restoration Series. Currently, there are two new product plans. You can take a guess. Look what it is [doge]"

avatar_Concavenator @Concavenator Good memory, I do indeed like static figures more (: But I cannot deny that seeing the news about this Creative Beasts Studio's 1:35 scale A. fragilis did indeed excite me!

paleochris

I saw a post by paleofiguras talking about this new studio! first they created a Yutyrannus in cartoon mode, and now they're going to make 2 1/35 figures of scientific precision. Either T Rex vs Edmontosaurus or Zuchentyrannus vs Shantungosaurus, I can't wait to find out!

Yes, it's a roller-coaster ride this topic, with PNSO confirming that they'll be continuing with the figures and now a new manufacturer on the way!

I think we're getting to the point where we can really create PVC figurines that aren't too expensive (under 100 dollars) with extreme precision, as good as resin statues. I really hope we'll see more and more of this in the years to come.

The X vs Y scenarios are an interesting concept. Reminds me of what Favorite did years ago.

I'm proud of you all.

Shhhhhh! We don't want them to figure it out!

Near as I can tell there was only one doomsayer.

I'm still waiting for a US retailer to stock Lokiceratops, too. By the time they do I imagine we'll be close to the next reveal.

I'd love to see PNSO drop a few stegosaurs in the 2025 line-up! I'd especially like Alcovasaurus longispinus, it was ~6.5 meters long, so plenty big enough for a nice 1/35th scale, and its largest preserved tail spike had a 98cm bone core, so was probably well over a meter long in life! That's the largest thagomizer known!

That looks basically identical to the PNSO Miragaia to me...

PNSO made 5 identical Carcharodontosaurids... lol. This at least would be an updated stegosaur for them since Miragaia was released in 2020. It's also a chance to do a very cool and less well known species with a unique anatomical feature. I suppose they could get a little creative with the anterior dorsal plates too, as they are not preserved.

Stegotyranno420

I would love more stegosaurs. I don't care how fragmentary (but preferably not at all ) because those theropods prove to me thats not a concern to them.
Also that colourscheme Ajax posted by Dinodan it's gorgeous! I would like to see a figure like that.
im also gonna steal it for my own art

Turkeysaurus

Dacentrurus would be nice too. Basically updated Miragaia which is quite rough looking compared to new pnso models.

It would be nice to have Nigersaurus , Edmontonia & Magnapaulia

Sim

The basically identical carcharodontosaurids are one of the most disliked things PNSO has done..  I feel like if PNSO is going to make figures as infrequently as last year it would be interesting if they were different to things they've already done.  Alcovasaurus has to have its appearance based on Miragaia by necessity.  That's just how I feel though.

PNSO once said the skin of their Tuojiangosaurus was based on actual stegosaurian skin.  The skin of their Miragaia is identical.

I think it's almost certain Eofauna will make Magnapaulia.

Turkeysaurus

Carcharadontosaurids are complained but i see everyone has at least one of them in their collections.  :D

Think them as color variants. Haolonggood had 4 color variants for Argentinosaurus.

I wonder if Haolonggood titanosaurs will start to annoy collectors. They are fragmentary and look a like.
