Oops sorry, I meant to say August rather than December. August 2024. This is the post where that pic I posted (for the fully-lipped one) comes from.

Turkeysaurus

Why does face of the W-Dragon lipped T.rex looks a lot different than Eofauna or customized lippes PNSO?

Ok thanks for the rectifications, that's still 2024 so good news to me.

Because even when adding lips there are several ways to go about doing it.

Yes, although the original Wilson is based on Stan if I remember right.

Mattyonyx

Spiclypeus' left arm showed serious damage and evidence of bone infection (we discussed it during a live stream about the BotM figure). Maybe that's why the PNSO model has a raised left arm.

Honestly I'm kinda disappointed with that spilcypeus, I get lokiceratops redskin vibe from it, plus I hate how it's much smaller than Loki but costs the same. I completely lost interest in Pnso over the past year with those inflated prices.

It's an expensive hobby at times.

In order to save some money I wait for the right moment to buy my PNSOs, in the amazon PNSO store they put up coupons every 1.5-2 months (10% to 25%).
And sometimes there are deal prices and you can also applied the coupon to save more money, for example I paid $30 for Lufengosaurus, $37 for Deinocheirus, $15 for Zuul and $18.50 for Yangchuanosaurus magnus.

Not to mention the sometimes significant differences between the skulls of individuals, even outside of the changes to shape fossilization can bring.

But as Blade says, each artist brings their own style, and choices to these restorations. The Bruin/Canine-esque form of lips seems to be popular at the moment. I would put Rebor's Kiss, the W-Dragon Stan (especially the open-mouth head) and most of the customs I've seen into that category.

I will be very interested in seeing figures with the Varanid-style of lips.

Besides both being ceratopsians why do you say it's just a lokiceratops reskin? The poses and head sculpt are very different.

I don't use Amazon since even with prime I'd have to pay 12$ for shipping, AliExpress takes a big tax on pnso (10$ on average) lanatime is the best option since their prices aren't inflated, but still I'd rather wait for a cheaper option from Haolonggood or some other company.

I feel like it lost it's identity, colors are really similar to loki, orange horns, blue accents on the frill. Plus those markings on its frill look really ugly to me.

Paleo Flo

Despite I like the model and the way the head is designed I think I will not aquire it.

What's fresh is the unuseal way of the markings. "bd"...a secret massage perhaps??? O:-)

Another fine PNSO ceratopsian, and another acquisition for my herd. WE are being spoiled by the wonderful flow of excellent figures in this cluster of genera by HLG and now, once again, by PNSO.

That's what struck me too! They remind me of the flat symbol in music theory, which is kinda adorable.

Also really liking that 1. PNSO isn't stopping, and 2. the colour scheme and sculpt are still cutting edge.

to be fair given the sculpt and size of the loki I feel its price is not bad, I understand haolonggood is cheaper but its attention to detail and accuracy is behind pnso, all this to say I feel like pnso prices have been a little more digestible in recent years

I would wholeheartedly second this comment. PNSO had some decently priced figures recently. The Lokiceratops is good value for money and the Edmontosaurus as well. The latter could have easily been an expensive museum line figure but it was not. The Spiclypeus is 16 cm, only 1.5 cm shorter than the Lokiceratops, so the size difference is not that much. And the costs of the PVC are just one of the cost factors, there is also research, development, prototyping, production of the molds and the paint application.
