Concavenator

H @HD-man Really? That's weird. Do any of you folks, H @HD-man aside, have trouble seeing the pics I post?

P.S. Edited the Plateosaurus post with a link to avatar_Stegotyranno420 @Stegotyranno420 's original post.

I see the Plateosaurus image.  And it's an impressive reconstruction, its colour complexity is remarkable.

As you may remember, PhP's Velociraptor "is the best, most beautiful Velociraptor I've ever seen" ( https://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=10177.msg321086#msg321086 ). I bring this up b/c the Badlands megathread features my favorite still from the entire series ( https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1897359824679252432.html ). Said still reminds me of Kuzim's "Low Poly Deinonychus reunion" (which, as you also may remember, is 1 "of my favorite eudromaeosaur artworks": https://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=10177.msg380382#msg380382 ):

Concavenator by @thesesametree
It looks cool, but I dislike half-feathered reconstructions.  Also, its legs look too short and its feet too big.  Concavenator is remarkably small-footed.

"The 2022 Korean translation of Locked in Time[...]commissioned me to colourise my 50 illustrations. "A place worth sitting" shows #Dilophosaurus sitting in the rain" ( https://bsky.app/profile/bobnichollsart.bsky.social/post/3llvwlqkqac2d ):

Quote from: HD-man on November 24, 2024, 03:01:08 AMI also really like Steve Kirk's Ornitholestes, especially the cat-like spots. I've liked seeing said spots on small theropods since Lambert's DK Guide to Dinosaurs ( https://archive.ph/4o5bX ), but I think they're especially fitting on Ornitholestes:

Finally, a better-quality version ( https://chasmosaurs.com/2025/04/29/vintage-dinosaur-art-dinosaurs-all-shapes-and-sizes/ ):

I'm pleased that since my last post about Scaphognathus crassirostris in this thread, I've found more great palaeoart of it!:

By Rudolf Hima.  Like the previous Rhamphorhynchus artwork, I think it would be perfect if the feathers extended onto its legs.

Those are my favorites of the pterosaurs you posted. I especially like Csotonyi's. The AMNH pterosaurs are by Raul Martin ( https://shop.amnh.org/pterosaur-poster ). A bit too shrink wrapped for my liking, but I digress.

I can't see this because Facebook image urls are periodically scrambled to prevent this kind of linking.

Quote from: HD-man on January 11, 2025, 01:35:13 AMIt's good to see CoolioArt's "Jurassic Park With Scientifically Accurate Raptors" finally animated. Also good to know there's more where that came from:

Is there a bigger & better-quality image of this Late Jurassic Morrison mural by Csotonyi? If not, no worries, I understand:

Wierums allosauruses are absolutely fantastic, but my favorite allosaurus art would be from William berry, called allosaurus chasing camptosaurus. At first I thought it's a modern paleoart. But upon more research, I found out it's actually from the 40's! Comparing it to other theropod artwork from the 40's and even till 80s, shows that it was really ahead of its time.
