avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy Yeah, that's a shame. Who knows, could be a painting error, because that's the only inaccuracy there. I don't know about the more recent production runs, but initially the Safari Iguanodon had the same issue, so does CollectA's Deluxe version. PNSO's doesn't, but PNSO's skull looks wrong.

I think HLG's Iguanodon's head is fine. It doesn't look wrong to me the way PNSO's does. As for the bulbous nose, it could simply be that it's depicted with a generous amount of soft tissue around that area. Similarly, and as far as soft issue goes, HLG's Shantungosaurus has a noticeable amount of soft tissue around the nostrils, and people don't seem to have an issue with that. People don't seem to have any issue with figures with throat pouches either. Remember that prior to 2014 we didn't know about Edmontosaurus regalis possessing a fleshy crest, so a slightly bulbous nose is nothing too crazy.

Haolonggood has really been favoring that gray/blue high contrast paintjob. I like it but I only really need one model that has it (Saurolophus). I like the figure though, a worthy Iguanodon for the collection.

Carnoking

They're both quite lovely, both calling my name, but the brown is singing a little louder this time around

suspsy

One is coloured like the Wuerhosaurus and the other is coloured like the Daspletosaurus.

I quite like the bluish one. It's a lovely looking figure. I'll say these paint schemes are getting quite repetitive however.

Both are fine figures of my favourite dinosaur...the decision which one to get is a though one again.
I have no problems with the head. For my understanding it fits to the skull shape of that genus.
Still sadly it has no green paintjob (I just love the 1991 documentary hosted by Walter Cronkite, where a green Iguanodon appeared) and I gues I like PNSO paintjob more, but the skull was the dealbreaker.

Whatever I am looking for Dinos&Dragons Review. I like this interpretation.

Turkeysaurus

It's on Aliexpress already.

Sadly it's an another product cannot be delivered to my country.

I think PNSO Iguanodon looks better but it's x2 more expensive.

I usually like grey tone but i find contrast on HLG models seems a bit harsh lately other than Euhelopus.

Now this is what I've been waiting for from HLG. look at that flick of the tail, the tilt of the head, this looks like it's moving not stuck in a weird pose. Im not the biggest fan of the colors but if I was to go in with some black paint and darken up the blue one I think I'd be happy. I want to see some reviews but I believe this will be another instance of a HLG figure taking the spot of a pnso in my collection. As everyone says, the head on that pnso is just off.

I agree, these schemes also tend to rely quite heavily on the base plastic colour, which has a different glossy finish, breaks the flow. Would be good if they could have made a plainer one, or like the dark torosaurus, limited the underside light colour/ shiny plastic

When I saw the first pictures I was sure I was gonna get the blue version but now ... I'm not so sure anymore. I actually really like the freckled look the brown variant has. Might get that one instead :)

I really do hope Haolonggood uses some other colors than the blue soon, though. Or at least come up with a more interesting pattern. Like, you can use the same colors, but at least make it different patterns each time to keep it visually interesting  :*D

:))

Soon, they will run out of blue paint. :))

As I said "make the Iguanodon green like in the Walter-Cronkite-documentary" or like the Shantungo. 8)

This Iguanodon is nice but I'm getting the PNSO one which looks like a better CollectA (the old brown one with white stripes), which was the 26th model of my core collection; for the same reason I'll buy PNSO Pachyrhinosaurus, hoping it returns available on Lana Time Shop.

I think that the moment has come for the Iguanodon for which many of us have been waiting. There's no way that I can imagine PNSO releasing another Iguanodon any time soon, so we're stuck with that beautifully sculpted Iguanodon/Mantellisaurus chimera (I own one). The Safari is terrific, but too small; the CollectA a tad big I think and the scalation somewhat oversized, though texturally pleasing to the touch, I must say. There's the old Papo, with its plus and minus aspects, so I really believe that HLG's one is the ONE.

Is their Iguanodon retired?

Edit: Sorry I didn't read until the end, didn't know about the Mantellisaurus thing, which is unfortunate.

it came to the point where i avoid this blue paint scheme knowing it would appear again in the future, saving it for the figure it would suit the most  :*D
i got brown Saurolophus, red Torosaurus, and going to get brown Iguanodon
