If this made it into the movie, and these are not Grimlock and Scorn,  then yes.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Oh, you meant the dinobot spinosaurus
dinobots have never been accurate really....
Ow was there supposed to have been a real life Spino? Didn't know that.
thats what I thought you had meant, there really is no point discussing accuracy of dinobots

and yes, those dinosaurs in the picture were not dinobots but supposedly dinosaurs killed in the attacks
placing them both in the wrong place and the spinosaurus at the wrong time

Let this thread live again!(I just watched the film because it just came out over here).

Yeah, I think it was incredibly silly how they showed the dinosaurs at the beginning, then the metallic ones frozen, which looked exactly like grimlock and scorn, then flashed back to the dinosaurs later in the movie, yet it turned out the dinobots were in no way related to them.

There is no evidence to suggest that the frozen ones actually were grimlock and scorn, as the movie did nothing to indicate this. It really just rendered the entire dinosaur thing pointless.

stargatedalek

I think Bay just wanted to mock us by teasing dinobots through the whole movie and and then giving us, what, 15-20 minutes worth? if even that

If I remember correct, Bay said once that he was not too fond of Dinobots.

He did, back after the second movie. I was hoping for an hour of nonstop dinobot! But no, they pulled a wreckers... (Wait until the last part of a movie to show up.)

The psittacosaurus was a lot better than The Land Before WWDs. I hope jp4's dinosaurs look as good.
I may not like feathered dinosaurs and stumpy legged Spinosaurs, but I will keep those opinions to myself, I will not start a debate over it, I promise. 😇

Also, if the two metallic dinosaurs on the north pole really are not grimlock and scorn, which they quite clearly are not...

What the hell is a T.rex and S.aegypticus doing on the north pole? Why is a spinosaurus even metallic? Did they seed the earth multiple times? Then why was there no mass extinction in the mid-cretaceous?

It's it obvious? They went to go get their Christmas presents early, but Santa had only one xbox 360 ready at the time, so they fought for it. But just then giant wheel bikes showed up and dropped pods on earth, coating the two in metal, where they would forever remain...

But seriously, it's just the writer not paying attention to Mesozoic history.

The Psittacosaurus was far-and-away one of the most impressive dinosaurs I've seen to date.  Really top-notch work.  Jurassic Park quality.

The other dinosaurs felt like a reprise of the stampede from King Kong.  There was some sauropods and hadrosaurs, I couldn't take it all in.  I think they were a bit more average.  Anyone know what species they were supposed to represent?

The rest of the film?  A lot of meaningless noise, but somehow it worked alright.  A bit on the long side.  At one point I thought it was coming to an end, then I realised they hadn't even got to China or introduced the dinobots, and the whole thing continued for about another hour.

I think there was probably supposed to be some connection to the dinobots in some way, but it got cut

Given some of the earlier concepts for Grimlock, I wouldn't be too surprised if the Tyrannosaurus and the Spinosaurus were planned to become Grimlock and Scorn at one point.

Ya, lots of things feel like they we're cut. Some parts of the movie were kinda choppy.

I was rewatching some G1 episodes again today and I noticed this in the credits:

I did not know that Donald F. Glut wrote some episodes for the cartoon. The more you know, I guess. I only just noticed this because I usually never pay attention to credit crawls :P

...If you don't know who Donald Glut is, then nevermind.

CityRaptor

He also wrote the Dinobot Island Episodes.  Which makes them being so inaccurate ( but still fun to watch  ) rather odd.

Like the dimorphodon who layed eggs bigger than itself? Or the carnivorous sauropod?

I think the carnivorous Sauropod is actually a Plesiosaur...living in a lake.

Sauropods seem to have fatter necks.

Hard to tell, half the time there drawn as limbless sauropods.

Everyone looks chubby in that scene.
