Hello everyone! Long time reader, first time poster, all of that.

I've loved prehistoric life since I was a little lad. I've been a casual collector much of my life and have a pair of Beasts of the Mesozoic raptors from the Kickstarter, but this year the spark has very much re-ignited with the purchase of my first collector's model. My fiancé has only enabled me, looking for dinosaurs (we affectionately call them "guys") anywhere they might be sold.

I grew up on forums and I miss their simplicity in comparison to the fast-moving and intense nature of today's more popular Discord servers. I'm hoping to start making customs and fix up the more wobbly members of my collection. Looking forward to getting to know each of you!

Welcome to the forum avatar_shibasaur @shibasaur  8)

I regard myself as tech savvy yet I struggle with Discord. I joined a 'discord server' recently, as part of a VR game community, but I struggle to make sense of it. I'm not even sure what a discord 'server' is, is server just a fancy name for a group? Or is it literally, a server, because that doesn't make sense! I'm not looking for answers, I just voicing my agreement that old-fashioned forums are so much better!

I wonder if you found your way here from Twitter today because I posted a link to the forum there earlier.
