Quote from: Joel1905 on July 12, 2022, 09:45:06 PMIf the animals featured in the posters and promo images are anything to go by, then PNSO may have a Diplodocus, Patagotitan & Shunosaurus around the corner! And if we're counting earlier Sauropodomorphs, a Lufengosaurus!

While I'd certainly welcome a PNSO titanosaur, I'm not sure how I'd feel about PNSO using their weirdly elongate horse-faced reconstruction.

Got secondary corona contact in the building, now unit is locked down for at least 7 days, rip my Lingwulong delivery :'(

First in hand pics from Tieba (massive figure, seems like top notch sculpt/detail/paint quality):

Flaffy

Oh wow that's much bigger than I expected it to be. One of those instances where PNSO prices matches up with the size and quality of the figure.
Easily going into my wishlist. No questions asked.

C @CarnotaurusKing Was wondering about that too. IMO that Brachiosaurus reconstruction is on par with Eofauna's sauropod reconstructions (sans the lips). I find it strange how they teased all these sculpts in the past but never went anywhere with them.

"Why the long face?"

ceratopsian

Thanks for those images avatar_Faras @Faras. It looks excellent on the paintwork. And it is certainly long and chunky. The poster's group shots are very helpful. A little cruel though making the poor woman perch precariously on those neck spines!!

Bad luck on your unit's lockdown. Hope the time passes quickly and it doesn't have to be extended.

I just noticed there's a picture of Lingwulong model on the poster. Figure is foam packed like museum line, maybe they put it in prehistoric line due to lack of artworks.

Thank you avatar_ceratopsian @ceratopsian :) Luckily no diagnosed in the community yet, and my Lingwulong would probably sit in main package warehouse instead of 60℃ locker.

Carnoking

Wow, it's huge! And even with those less than stellar photos, the detail and paint look amazing! Yeah, this one seems well worth it.

ceratopsian

Maybe the foam packaging is to do with its heavy weight, avatar_Faras @Faras. Perhaps the clamshell thin plastic wouldn't be secure enough to hold it safely. And if it starts to move around in its box, the end of the tail is very thin and easily damaged once the weight of that bulky body slides down to rest against it. Lots of crush damage possible! Possibly to the head and neck end too.  Another potential issue might be production problems in producing so large a pair of clamshells.

Faras

Indeed avatar_ceratopsian @ceratopsian. Hmm that remind me, clamshells tend to result in more damage to paint too, they'd also need to wrap figures in plastic instead of paper. Foams might be cheaper too with rising plastic price :o

CarnotaurusKing

avatar_Carnoking @Carnoking that too. The Edmontonia's even worse, I think it was teased in Dec 2020. Hope they get released.

avatar_Flaffy @Flaffy yeah, it could've been the definitive Brachiosaurus. Hope we get some word on it soon.

Also wow, that Lingwulong is gorgeous! And big too. It's a good time for dicraeosaurid fans (all three of them). Hoping someone makes a Brachytrachelopan soon.

Is that the papo brachiosaurus next to it?  This model is a lot bigger than I thought...

That's the W-Dragon Giraffatitan, which actually makes the Papo one look small in comparison!

Duck

I hope the Suchomimus is next!

GiganotosaurusFan

Sorry I'm late to the party. I don't like lipless reconstructions of sauropods, and this is no exception, but there is no denying that this is a GOOD model. Lorge, too!
Any Giganotosauruses are friends. Any other carnivores are...I think I'll run now.

I really like this one, except for it's teeth but that's a minor detail for me. It's very big, looks taller than Safari's Diplodocus, but shorter so that's good for me so I'll probably try to get it in the future.

Faelrin

avatar_Faras @Faras Thanks for sharing all those images. The ones of it next to the PNSO Parasaurolophus (which I have), and the Eofauna Diplodocus (don't yet have but on wishlist), were particularly helpful for me to get an idea of how big it is. Also seeing it next to the Amargasaurus (another I don't have). Price is totally justified due to its size and girth.

I'm also sorry you have gotten covid. I hope you have a swift recovery and don't suffer from long covid at all.

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin Thank you for your kind words :) I didn't get covid, my apologise for the misunderstanding, it was someone in the unit got risky contact with diagnosed person(s), so we were quarantined at home as secondary contacts. So far my family and I got negative in 11 tests, though bad news is they found covid positive in community today, so whole block has lockdown (asked friend living in other unit to pick up Lingwulong, maaaaaybe I'll have chance soon...).

Faelrin

avatar_Faras @Faras Oh I see now. Good to see you don't have it but it is unfortunate you have to deal with the lockdown despite that. That sounds stressful.

Halichoeres

Definitely looking forward to this one. I know they aren't as well substantiated, but I hope the ichthyosaur and plesiosaur rumors prove true.
