Hey all.

For those who are curious, I'm happy to report that the basement is DONE. I'm even happier to report that I've got my den all set up. I'll post photos in a few weeks once I've acquired more of the new Safari figures. :)

Awesome! I can't wait. I'm probably more excited about this than I should be I know it's going to look great.

suspsy

Okay folks, it's finally time to take that tour I've been promising!

This is what you see coming into my den. It's not big, but I've quickly come to love it. :)

My science selection. Been doing a purge lately and getting rid of outdated dinosaur books.

Two of my other interests are history and mountaineering. I collect old Time-Life books: most of them are still at my parents'.

My Transformers and Lego display cabinet. Sorry about the relection.

Someday I might post a series of closeup photos of my Lego selection, but for now, here's where Bella and Beth reside.

And here's what you've all been really looking forward to seeing. Tune in tomorrow for more!

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

Cool setup, Suspsy! I'm afraid my own collection always ends up looking like assorted clutter, no matter how artfully I endeavor to arrange things.

Libraraptor

Cool, very cool! Your science shelf resembles mine in a few titles. And those cabinets are feasts for the eyes!  I'll be tuning in tomorrow!

You collect Time-Life books. I thought I was the only one! (I have a bunch of 'Mysteries of the Universe' and 'Voyage through the Universe'. I want to get other sets)

ceratopsian

That looks a very inviting and comfortable area to enjoy your hobby.

Okay, let's check out some dinosaurs!

We begin on the top level with the royal family. Here's one side, bookended by Firestreak.

And here's the other side, bookended by Hardbit.

It quickly became apparent that my display cabinet, big as it is, wouldn't be able to hold all of my collection. In the main section, I've got most of my CollectA and Wild Safari toys, some select Carnegie ones, all nine of my Battats, and all of my PNSO miniatures. No room for Papo or Recur after all that, sadly. They're still in a bin for now.

Here's the extended royal family. Once you take T. rex out of the equation, it's really not a well represented branch in the plastic world. I really want CollectA or Safari to give us Gorgosaurus, Albertosaurus, and Zhuchengtyrannus.

Feathered friends.

Long necks.

I have a pile of WWII books a retiring history professor gave me, and an even bigger pile of Science Library books that used to belong to my father. I'm always looking for more Civil War titles.

Awesome, those are some topics I might want to look into. I meant 'Mysteries of the Unknown' not 'Mysteries of the Universe' (sorry for the error). I like the fact that these books are so well researched. They used to cost a ton back in the day but are affordable and easy to find on ebay nowadays.

Gwangi

Awesome to finally see your collection set up. Loving the books in particular.  I need to weed out some of my older, outdated books too.

suspsy

Glad people are enjoying the photos. On to the next shelf!

Bad boys.

Boneheads. Another criminally underrepresented group. When are we going to get a damn Stegoceras?

Horns and frills. I left a couple of empty spaces for new CollectA figures, but I reckon I'll have to redo the entire arrangement given how ginormous the Deluxe Styracosaurus is!

Yes, it's high time!

Nice dino-cave.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Archinto

Wow nice setup! I wish I could say my Legorium was that that clean.... lol I need more shelves for my dinos...

I love that big purple t-rex. is that the giant snap together model? I think I have seen one at my local hobby store in anchorage before, and was heavily debating on buying it. their price is still a bit ouch though.
I'm seeking Orsenigo and other interesting vintage dinosaurs. Contact me if you can help with my search!
