I love the sculpt and the paint but I am mildly amused that this is the second or third figure that's basically in the death pose.

Although I suppose the animal could probably take on this pose if it wanted to. I don't know much about compsognathid tail flexibility, but it seems mildly plausible.

It's a bit big for my collection but I absolutely love it. Perhaps I will cave...

Another post-mortem pose disguised as predatory behavior. Still, lovely figure and I am digging the little odonate!

Halichoeres

I might be overinterpreting it, but is that an aeshnid dragonfly? I think there are about 20 dragonflies from that family known from the Jehol biota.

[Cultural and Creative New Products] "Warm-up First Round", China Dinosaur Park launches a big move to bring you closer to prehistoric top stars

"Is this thing a dragon or a bird?" Don't be fooled by its feathers! Sinosauropteryx looks like a feathered bird, but in fact, it is a real dinosaur. It is a feathered theropod dinosaur of the family Compsognathidae, and an important step in the evolution of dinosaurs to birds. Later, you can proudly tell your friends: "I know what this dinosaur that looks like a bird is!" Sinosauropteryx lived in the Cretaceous period 125 million years ago. Although it "appeared" on Earth for a short time, its significance is extremely significant. Its fossils are key evidence for scientists to study the origin of birds.

"Oh, this tail is too long, isn't it?" You might think so. Sinosauropteryx uses its super long tail to tell you: "I am a prehistoric master of balance!" This tail not only keeps you stable when hunting, but also attracts the opposite sex and scares away enemies!

Did you know? Our Longlong is a "small foodie" whose menu includes insects and small vertebrates. Imagine Longlong squinting at a dragonfly, slowly approaching with his flexible body, and then suddenly attacking, biting with his sharp teeth, and the delicacy is done! The skills of this little predator are really admirable. When designing this model, we paid special attention to these details, so that you can see a real "small foodie Longlong".

As the treasure of the China Dinosaur Park, Sinosauropteryx has become the "traffic leader" in the dinosaur world since the moment it opened. The most fanatical fan is none other than Jingjing, the tour guide of the Dinosaur Park. This "fan club president" is truly worthy of the name, and is active in the fan group every day like a "small archaeological bee" that never stops. Jingjing has really put a lot of effort into Longlong. Not only did she write a variety of vivid and interesting tour guides, she also developed an exclusive "star-chasing" plan for fans. Some fans even bought annual passes to see Longlong more, and they spend almost every day in the Dinosaur Park, even wanting to eat in the park. There is also a group of "little tour guides", all of whom are Longlong's fans, and can tell a set of "dragon language" about Longlong. There is a little fan named Xiaoming, who brings a small team every time he comes to the Dinosaur Park, standing in front of the Longlong model and explaining incessantly, even adults are fascinated by it. Jingjing saw it all and was very happy. She felt that this was not only a support for her work, but also a reflection of the infinite love for the Chinese dragon bird.

In order to let this top star really enter the family, the restoration plan of Chinese dragon bird came into being. Since its establishment, China Dinosaur Park has always been committed to protecting and promoting dinosaur culture. We are committed to letting more people understand and love these ancient creatures through innovative ways. Therefore, we decided to launch a static model of Chinese dragon bird. In China Dinosaur Park, ancient beasts are not only symbols of history, they are still "active" in the world. Through careful carving, we present these prehistoric creatures vividly in front of everyone. The model perfectly reproduces the details of the fossils, allowing the life of Chinese dragon bird to be frozen here. When designing our model, we not only restore the cool tail, but also pay special attention to its demeanor details, so that you can see a real "little foodie dragon". This world-first model, each one has an independent number and is unique. And it is sold in limited quantities worldwide. The unique craftsmanship and numbering design make each model irreplaceable. Owning it is not only a collection, but also a tribute to ancient civilization. Every touch is a direct dialogue with the ancient times.

Each piece is a "whisper of time" Between tradition and innovation, we redefine culture We don't follow the Western behemoths, nor do we imitate the North American hegemons We don't copy the ancient legends of Europe, we love the unique dragons on Chinese soil I also love vibrant modern design Watch, learn, embrace, do not follow blindly, dare to be different, and be original It is a modern interpretation of ancient stories It is a contemporary expression of cultural confidence China Dinosaur Park, humbly explore, deeply cultivate dinosaur science Between ancient and modern We re-understand the power of culture Use Chinese dinosaurs to reshape the colors of life Use innovative design to light up the space of thought

After much anticipation, everything is ready. The world's first mass-produced static model of Sinosauropteryx is finally on the market! In order to give back to the attention of the majority of netizens, we have specially launched a prize-winning interactive topic before the official release. The readers who leave the most likes will have the opportunity to win a static model of Sinosauropteryx.

Thanks for the heads-up, I just ordered one. it will be interesting to compare it side-by-side with their previous one (sitting posture). It was a very good quality sculpt.

I've never even seen an image of this toy.  Is TNG only available in China?  not much talk about them here.  I remember liking the way that their sitting Sabertooth looked then I heard it was discontinued.

Discontinued? Didn't know that. I'm glad that I got one when it first came out and I also have the new one on the way. They will be an interesting pair.

So far, the only TNG toys that have impressed me are the woolly mammoth, the Stegodon, and the Elasmotherium.

I'll post some images of TNG's new Smilodon, the standing specimen and a male, accompanied by the older sitting female, which I hear has been discontinued (hope that this isn't correct). Sort of odd that the recommended age limit has been raised from 8 to 14.

Would love to get all three of them.  I'd really like to see a side by side comparison of the mammoth next to the mojo version from 2022(?)

I highly recommend both proboscideans. Not every day you get a Stegodon afterall!

Bit the bullet on a Sinosauropteryx. I'm bracing myself for subpar paint work.

In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

Just in case anyone is interested in the new Chinese Dragon, here's a link to it on Aliexpress. About $50 USD which seems reasonable:

Here's a listing to the TNG Sinosauropteryx that is still available:

It also appears to be available through ebay sellers as well. I did find a link to it on aliexpress but it appears to be sold out there, but I'll leave the link below as well:

In any case, I still think we can count on it having a superior paint work to that of the PNSO.  :P

I think he might be more excited for the insect than for the theropod, though at the same time, I believe he might find the theropod more interesting than most of the theropods that are being offered nowadays!
