:o ;D  That Diplodocus figure is amazing in every possible way - also economically.
It had been sold for USD $100 - $250 for years, then a few years back prices exploded and I actually saw one go for $900.
Then with the announcement of the whole collection being re-released it went down and you could easily get one for $75 - $100 (that's when I got mine ;D).
Now that we are loosing hope that the Diplodocus will ever have an official comeback (many people are happy that the T. rex did!), sellers are going to try to put it back to the old price standarts of course. Let's see how this will go on .......

P.S.: Such a nice box, so much information .... but the sculptor isn't mentioned ::).

So that's what a boxed Battat Dippy looks like. That box is near huge, considering the size of the figure itself.

If anyone has $900+ and they need to get rid of it, here is a Battat Diplodocus mint condition in the original box.  I didn't even know that they put the Diplodocus in a box. I don't think it will sell. Lol

The box is dented. It's only worth $799.

Plot twist: The DTF comes together and fabricates evidence of the dippy's re-release being imminent; prices reach an all-time low.  :))

I got mine mint in a sealed bag for $290.00 back in 2008 after missing out on many that blew well past $300 but in all my searching I have never seen a box so that one should go at a premium but $900 seems a bit much. I would say $600.00 to a crazed Battat collector would be more like it.

I found a Battat Ouranosaurus for anyone looking for one.  From someone who owns one it is a beauty.

I'd like to have one, but those international shipping costs are a killer.

Will not buy. Not depicted with feathers. Also has incorrect number of metacarpals.

That's some weird looking T.rex.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Battat Styracosaurus.

I'd love one - but the postage to the UK is an eye-watering $48.50 - even before you factor in customs!

And customs take a good cut too. It's really pretty egregious.

Hmmm... I had saved up $5,000 for something just like this... but the potential import costs disuade me.

True, the customs service at the global level is full of corruption and my nation is no exception.

The customs companies retain at their whim packages with good reason or without it. It's the problem one has when it comes to buying figures abroad.

That really is unfair. Makes me a little less proud of the collection I've amassed, since non-US collectors are at such a disadvantage due to those hurdles.
