I just bought a Kabaya "Seismosaurus" from this seller for $9.99 with free shipping. I don't know if that is a good price but it seemed like it to me, I also know nothing of the figure so if anyone has any info I would appreciate it. The seller still has more available.

Oh, THANK YOU for that, Gwangi! I have always wanted that piece, but could never justify paying the $40 that other sellers were asking.

The seismo was one of the kabaya special/secret figures. It came in 6 pieces if I remember correctly, and one piece was included with each of the other figures in the series (so you had to buy several of the regular figures to collect all the pieces for the seismo).

Wow, looks like the seller listed that figure multiple times with a starting bid of only 99 cents, and never got any bids! Probably because they did not include "kabaya" in the name.

What is the deal with this? Is it really a prototype as the seller suggests, or just an ordinary figure painted white? The figure doesn't interest me, but I'm just curious....

I saw this a long time ago on Ebay, it's been re-listed a bunch of times I guess. If you look closely you can see small black dots all over it. I guess someone just repainted/primed it and sold as a resin version to this seller which realized it was a regular one and decided to pass it to another fool. :P Or the seller is just plain dishonest and did the painting him/herself. Look at the base on the second photo, you can see a lot of suspicious black points.

I hope we can because now he has my money. I think we're probably alright he has pretty good feedback it looks like. Also if he was looking to make a buck why wouldn't he advertise what he has as what they are and for a higher price?

Because the tric has been chewed on and previously painted. I think that devalues him a lot :)
The steg is undamaged and unpainted. Also, I paid around $50 for him originally so I would like to get most of that back.
