How does the Mesozoo Allosaurus hold up quality-wise?
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

avatar_triceratops83 @triceratops83 The quality of the Mesozoo allosaurus is normal neither very good nor very bad. It is solid PVC a bit hard and the plastic is a bit stiff and heavy. On the other hand, the jaw does not close, although it appears as an articulated jaw and I sincerely like her painting. Although it has seams in the area of the head on all the jaws and on the arms and hind legs, on the other hand, its teeth are not painted as correctly as one would like, but it must be borne in mind that it is a company that has just started and that sincerely promises from a commercial point of view.

avatar_Shonisaurus @Shonisaurus Ah, thanks. I might give it a shot.

Sorry, I don't have the CollectA Elasmotherium.

The plastic material is comparable to Papo - pretty hard, but still bendable. I was lucky and mine can stand perfectly.
As Shoni wrote the paintjob on the teeth and on the eye is sloppy, otherwise it's okay for a toy figure.
I like the basic sculpt and pose. That's what A. fragilis should look like .... and I like the knobs on its neck :) .

So, You collect Kingfishers also ?
I too like this bird, and, come to think of it - "Birds are Dinosaurs!".

may I suggest 3 more Kaiyodo Miniatures :

1. Kingfisher from the Capsule Q Museum Japanese Animal Collection III Tokyo / Megacities and remote islands.
2. woodpecker & Kingfisher no. 59 & 62 from the Choco Egg Japanese Animal Collection 3-A.

I congratulate you on your new acquisition of microraptor, mine arrived yesterday together with the giganotosaurus of W-Dragon, a magnificent figure from PNSO, especially for its size and its beautiful sculpture, especially the feathers.

 Both Kinfishers you've mentioned are on the list ( Furuta Animatales 3 - No.062  &  Kaiyodo CapsuleQ Museum 3 - No.268 ).
The Kaiyodo figure is just too expensive at the moment. I'm kicking myself for not getting it while it was still easily available.

                                                             ¤   1:18  Tyrannosaurus rex ~ Regina mundi   ¤
sculpted by David Krentz / built-up & painted by Martin Garratt

A bit more than a year ago I pledged for the very last resin kit copy of the 120 kits David offered through his Kickstarter project.
Deliveries were planned for November 2019. Of course the casting procedures took a bit longer in reality,
then came Corona, then came the enhanced shipping costs ... etc. Anyway, now the finished model is here and I'm very happy with the result.
I have to admit it's pretty hard to take pics of a model this big the way I do it (I do not have too much space with good light)
and my pictures can't really show Regina's majestic beauty. She's by far the biggest theropod model I own - just the way it should be!

For pictures #1, 4, 6 & 7 click directly on the pic to see it fully sized!

Shonisaurus

My congratulations on your new acquisition.

That tyrannosaurus from Regina Mundi is very realistic, and very pretty. The resin dinosaur figures are the best figures on the market without a doubt.

SidB

Well worth the wait from what I can see. No doubt that it wasn't inexpensive, but ... wow.

ceratopsian

It is spectacular. And Martin did a beautiful job.

Fenestra

Wonderful! What a beast! I love the girth on this lady.  ^-^
Never noticed the well balanced striding pose before, since the preview pictures of the resin kit were all taken from the side.
Congrats!

paintingdinos

Really outstanding. Krentz went above and beyond with Regina and the buildup is of course superb. A fitting centerpiece to any collection!

Stegotyranno420

i wonder how much it costs?

Woah! $300? No wonder why it looks so good. Does that include Mr. Garrat's customization?

No, it doesn't. That was the original Kickstarter pledge.

I love the scientific accurate beauty and the wonderful details on such a relatively small model.
