"The world's still the same. There's just less in it."

Concavenator

Very excited! BTW will you do a sequence of before the dinosaurs?

Yutyrannus

I will probably make a before the dinosaurs series as well :)

So the first episode is like the mammals point of view of the Mesozoic?

I do like the list, and I like that I have no idea what in the world Acrophoca. Good obscure species though!

Maybe I suggest a Castorocauda and Volaticotherium form episode 1 along with Didelphodon. And maybe  Fruitafossor on top?

For the birds episode, I will suggest a Copepteryx.

Concavenator

How about a Gastornis in the bird chapter?
And a Daeodon in Rise of the mammals?

Acrophoca is an ancestor of the Leopard Seal. Sure I will use those species, I just forgot about them when I was writing the list. Also expect to see my first drawings for this series soon: Acrophoca and Inkayacu. :)

Yes, thank you for the suggestions :)!

"The world's still the same. There's just less in it."

Balaur

Be careful with Gastornis though. The evidence is pointing to it being a herbivore, so I suggest you orotray Gastornis as a herbivore.

Yutyrannus

Don't worry, I was going to have Gastornis as an herbivore. Hopefully I will finish and post the Acrophoca soon :)

Here it is, my first drawing for this series :):

Acrophoca

Balaur

Nice! Have you thought of my suggestion about Copepteryx? Its a flightless. Pelican similar to Hesperornis.

Oh, sorry I forgot to put it on the list :-[. Anyway do you like the Acrophoca? I am quite pleased with it :).

"The world's still the same. There's just less in it."

Balaur

Yes I do! I love leopard seals (they are my favourite seals) so I nearly doed when looking up Acrophoca, and looking at this picture.

Yeah! Leopard Seals are awesome! :)

I also have another suggestion for the birds episode. The Kaua'i Mole Duck. It is possibly the coolest blind animal that has ever lived!

For teh final episode, how about Megaladapis, the Koala Lemur?

Thanks! I'll add them in tomorrow :)

Yutyrannus

Also, I decided to replace Megantereon with Xenosmilus.

"The world's still the same. There's just less in it."

Balaur

Yep, Xenosmilus is cool! Always good to have lesser known machairodontia! ;)

When will you be posting more pictures for this series?

Yutyrannus

#19
I don't know when I'll post more puctures for this series, but expect more from the other two for now. And when I do post more for this series it will probably be the giant peruvian penguin Incayacu :).

EDIT: I may post Xenosmilus soon as I have just collected a number of references for it. I have a side view of the skull and multiple side views of tigers. What I will do is draw it from the tiger references mostly (apart from the skull) but will then go back and fix the proportions and musculature to match Xenosmilus.
