Don't let that fish put you down. 3 out of 4 is still good.
Besides, Safari got our feedback. So maybe they will change it.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus

One can only hope. Even if it looks horrible, I have high hopes for the other three-Wild Safari's detail has been steadily improving over the years, and I'm excited to see how they do this year.

When is Carnegie revealing their figures? Sorry, I just am a little inpatient right now. Now I think that they will release an updated Tyrannosaurus and a new feathered Velociraptor.

Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus

Hold on- I just had an awesome thought. Might Carnegie release a redone Baryonyx?!

They said on Facebook that they 're counting down in weeks to announce them.

Maybe, but they've already announced a remade Baryonyx for their Wild Safari line. Ooops, getting my fish hunters mixed up hehe :-[ That was a Suchomimus, not a Baryonyx.

Didn't Dan say that they would release it soon like thirteen days ago? I guess soon for the, is not the same as soon for me. I'll clutch my fists and my jaws in anticipation.

Did he say that in 30 days we'll discover them?
I also can't wait for seeing them also.

I hope the (rumoured) new Carnegie 2014 Tyrannosaurus will look like this amazing new Tyrannosaurus by Sideshow:

That would be awesome if it looked like that. A great additon for all us who cant afford the sideshow version in that case. Would be even greater if the Carnergie version has feathers. I mean, it wont hurt to get more featherd dinosaurs.
Taking dinosaurs of this islandis the worst idea in the long, sad story of bad ideas

So now we're hoping that Carnegie (like another, French company) should just copy high-end sculpts and designs from somewhere else?

At one time, companies were known for creating trademark styles. I would rather see a Carnegie model that looks good and modern--maybe with some proto-feathers to really set it apart.

I agree mostly. We don't want dinosaur models becoming carbon copies of each other, they all have their own styles and characteristics, whether people like those styles or not is a matter of personal taste.

I think I would like it more if companies tried to copy the accuracy and high production values that go into Sideshow sculpts, but not necessarily the style.

You're right, companies must have their own style  :-[
But I don't agree at a point.
We don't want Papo models to be Sideshow copies. With the Carnotaurus, the Sidesgow one came with other Carnotaurus pictures or statues to get as reference.Papo chose the Sideshow statue as reference. That was a request so apart from the species we wanted to be released,we offered inspirance too.We helped them.
And with their Styracosaurus ,we didn't suggest to Papo to do a Styracosaurus,so we didn't say them to use any Sideshow as reference.Papo chose freely.
And with that Tyrannosaurus ,I just said I would like it to look like that, but I'm sure Carnegie has their own, awesome style and that can do also an awesome new rex.
BTW,SBell, would you know how many time will we have to wait till we see the highly anticipated Carnegie's dinisaurs for 2014?

tyrantqueen

Does Carnegie have a Facebook page where we can see their updates on their new figures? Anyone got a link?

Concavenator

I don't think that Carnegie has their own Facebook page.

What about Safari Ltd? They'd most likely post updates to the Carnegie line there.

BTW has someone tried  to see them at Carnegie's magazine.Last year we knew the existence of Carnegie'sConcavenator  thanks to someone (sorry, can't remeber) who posted an image of it appearing in  one if that magazine's pages. If that magazine wouldn't include a photo of it,we wouldn't have known about it until late September.
BTW Safari said that the new Carnegie dinosaurs will be announced in the next few weeks (...that was said last wednesday)
