The Tyrannosaurus doesn't seem like an improvement over the red one..

Yutyrannus

I love the new T-rex and to all those who don't, too bad but at least you won't get to them before me. The ammonite is the best of these three and it will probably be one of my first purchases next year. However, I think that the Rise of Man toob is a total waste just like the Megalodon (in fact I like the Meg better) :(. I was really hoping for an interesting toob next year, but hopefully there will be another, perhaps a pterosaur toob  :). Anyway, can't wait to see the other Carnegie for next year!

But seriously, do you guys like that idea?
Sorry, but no I can't say that I like the idea.I can understand you skipping it if you don't like it,but all of you don't need to make that decision for me by trying to see to it that it's not available to anyone at all.

I don't get what you're saying here.  ???
Whoops,I was responding to the wrong post! That's why it makes no sense in this context...it wasn't important anyway,so to get back on the proper topic, you are right, that new Carnegie Tyrannosaurus is great! Now I would love for the other one to turn out to be Styracosaurus. Now I wonder if that second one will come out alongside the rex next year,or will it be one for 2015... :)
Don't you hate it when you legitimately compliment someone's mustache and she gets angry with you?

The red one looks to be based on the "Wankel specimen" and this new one looks like the "Samson" specimen to me,so I like them both :)

Does anyone still think there's one more Carnegie model to be revealed?

Or is it one figure a year still

Ammonite by Safari

New 2014 Carnegie Anniversary Tyrannosaurus

About damn time they showed off the Rex. That said, I'm not super fond of its final look. Ah well. =/

Hopefully they will show off the other, smaller and more feathered Carnegie piece soon.

No, there is still another yet to be announced.

Ascent of Man - I want hominids in my collection, but this looks dissapointing. Lets hope that the final product doesn't look like this.

Ammonite - About time they made an ammonite. I like the look of it, with the webbed tentacles and the long tentacles. It actually looks like its moving. It's now one of my favourite sculpts for Safari next year along with the Pachyrhinosaurus.

Carnegie Tyrannosaurus - *sigh* Well that was predictable. In more ways than one. First: I knew that Tyrannosaurus was going to be released next year. Second: the tripod pose....... AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!! Carnegie! Do a more creative pose instead of copying the pose of Carnotaurus, Giganotosaurus, Deltadromeus, Concavenator, Cryolophosaurus - put some action into it! I also have problems with its short tail, looks too short for me, but that's just probably the photo. I do like the colours though. However, if that tail is really that short, I'll have to (for the first time in my life) think if I want to buy this Carnegie. I give this (just on the promo photo alone) a 2/5. Not impressed Carnegie. Hopefully the other model is better.

FEATHERED CARNEGIE? Holy crap.....

I'll buy the ammonite and Tyrannosaurus for sure, especially since I only own the Papo T. rex, and I need a more accurate piece. Not too interested in the humans though.

So I'm a bit confused here - the only Carnegie in this announcement is the T. rex? The ammonite looks like Carnegie quality, but Masiakasaurus just brought up another, smaller figure, with - DID YOU SAY FEATHERS?! Now I can't wait to see what it is!

So the other one is smaller and feathered...I'm going to come right out and and call the name Velociraptor mongoliensis. :D

I thing its Arceopteryx

Safari hinted that they were making one soon.  I think this is it.

I could be wrong though

Wow. Impressed and disappointed with that rex.    The tail seems to short, but it could be the angle plus the colors.

STOP WITH THE BEIGE COLORING Mrs. Rogers

BTW are those cavemen and a part of the wild safari line? or something else

same goes for the Ammonite

The Rex looks prety awesome til you get to the legs. They're a bit stiff..and the tail does look short but I'm guessing it's off to the side which is why..so yeah it's the angle I think.

I'm pretty sure I know where I saw this pose before :

BTW Forest Rogers has nothing to do with the coloring..blame Carnegie/Safari for that. Though it's easily re-paintable.

Dan didn't mention the cavepeople and the Ammonite ( which is cool ) as being Carnegie/Safari..only Safari so they probably are WS or another line like the Luis Rey Oviraptor was.

So there isn't two Carnegie/Safari pieces this year ?

Balaur

I belive there are two pieces from Carnegie this year.

I am saying there's a 90% chance it'll be Archaeopteryx.  Safari has strongly hinted at it numerous times.

Wow, how very un-original! Really? those human figures are straight out of Bullyland! Same goes for the ammonite! They could at least have made them in different poses... this is just too much like Bullys :-\
And the T-rex? I really don't care much for it... nothing special abut it, just another T-rex. And yeah, that tripod pose is really getting too old and boring... and same goes with those colors! Really, almost all of their Carnegie releases the last 5 years have the same beige/green colors! ;D

Beige? I thought the offending colour was lime green. I really like this T-rex -the colours are nice, subtle, believable, not over-the-top (e.g CollectA's notorious face mask interpretation comes to mind) and the paint job is superb (in the newly released picture). Also, the T-rex proportions conform to the "stocky" depiction that have been circulating for the past few years- Hey, at least the T-rex is not starving (take note, Wild Safari, Papo :P)

I suppose the next Carnegie model will be Triceratops.

And, Carnegie if you're reading this, please don't botch up the paintjob on the final product. Concavenator looked amazing in the stock photo, but the final product had a very sloppy paint execution on the crest/sail   >:(

About the new releases:

Ascent of Man: Yes! More Cenozoic creatures! Definitely getting these guys.

Ammonite: I could use some more invertebrates for sure.

Tyrannosaurus. Ugh. No. Too fat, too upright, and too front heavy with a tail that small. I'm sticking with their 10th Anniversay Rex; that was a way better model in comparison.

I'm really hoping for an Archaeopteryx, by the way.

I think the rex is pretty good...but then again I'm a rex lover ;D But green again? Really Carnegie?

The Anniversary rex is still a better model imo. I'll definitely be getting this one though

Maybe it's time Carnegie considered adding Favorite style bases to their models. I personally don't mind the tripod balancing style (it's better than having clown feet) but people seem to be complaining about it a lot ::)

Hmm, feathered figure, I guess it won't be a pterosaur then...  ;)
